I just want to point out, that where it says the Lillith was "maybe" the goddess of the wind, they are wrong. That title was given to Enlil, son of An/Anu.

Lilith never started out as a Goddess of any sort, she was a pretty minor demon from a family of Mesopotamian demons, Lilith as others know her seems to be an individual member of that group, who arose to power.
Here's a good article on Lilith:
'Lilith: From Demoness to Dark Goddess' by Aaron Leitch (http://kheph777.tripod.com/lilith.html)

I have to read that, maybe it will help me to understand why people would want to worship her.

Because of some misinformation and mistranslated texts in the... 60's, I want to say, they believe her to be an ancient mother-goddess type. I've got to get to work, I don't have much more to say right now. I've gone circles with this topic in the past.

I hope you enjoy it, I think it's a really good article on her, I don't agree with everything he says, but, it is a good article, and he doesn't whitewash her origins at all.

I agree with RoseKitten, they like to see her as a "mother Goddess" who was "demonized by the Patriarchy", which isn't true at all, to me, I don't think they should downplay Lilith's origins at all, she's quite cool and very interesting all on her own, with her true origins, especially if you read the Jewish legends, Lore and Mythology about her (being that she is more prominent in Judaism than anywhere else, I'd say any potential worshippers of her should read Jewish Myths, Lore and Legends, especially the ones about Lilith, which are very cool, again, IMO).

Why not? I doubt they all believe she's some type of Goddess by why shouldn't people want to worship her?

Who says "they" do? The people I know who worship Lilith do so by knowing her origins. Some may do what you claim. But I think there are many who do not.

I didn't mean to generalise, I know there are some very good worshippers of Lilith, who don't downplay her origins and do read up on her (for example, in the Aaron Leitch article I linked too, he's a worshipper, or semi-worshipper, of Lilith), I'm just speaking about the ones that don't. Hope that's clearer.

I'm sorry for jumping on you about that. I just don't like generalizations (even though I'm guilty of it myself) but I know some Lilith worshipers that acknowledge and know her origins and do worship her as such.

It's cool, I probably should have been more clear.
