Has anyone felt drawn to one (or more than one) particular card? If so, why? What is it about that card that you associate with yourself?

I have always been drawn to the Magician (Rider Waite). I am creative and artistic, and I see that as the card of one who creates, especially one who makes Something out of Nothing.

When I was a teenager, I used to grafitti desks with the 9 of Swords during exam week. What can I say, I was a morose teen. ;)

I'd have to say a toss up between Death and the Tower. I guess it's because I'm always ready to give up some things (some come easier than others.....) and start over again.. *shrugs*

Also the 5 of Cups. I tend to look on the dark side of things a lot of the time too.

I have a pretty good relationship with the Star - hope, dreams, aspirations, and with the seven of wands - the ability to fight for what you want or what you believe is right. Those two cards show up a lot in readings I do for myself.

The card that I relate to is the NINE OF PENTACLES. The first time I studied that card I saw lots of similarites between the two of us. I was studying Joan Bunnings book LEARNING THE TARTOT.

I was actually stunned at the commanilites I saw. As I read Joan's description this is what a saw.

A woman who has scraificed much and worked hard to get what she wants. A woman who can take up for herself when she needs to. A woman who can do the work of a man but yet keep her feminity and sexuality about her. A woman who enjoys the simple AND the finer things of life. (I still havent' achieved the finer things yet !) There were more and I should've written them down.

Now some folks may not see all the points I made by Joans interputation - but isn't tarot about your instincts and feelings first? I feel I could just as easily walk in her shoes as she could my boots.

There was a shop when I visited New Orleans that had a couple pieces of tarot jewlery. The Sun was one of them, I don't remember the other. Nothing fancy or expensive, just a pin. I asked but they didn't have the NINE OF PENTACLES.:( Ahhhhh well, maybe next time.;)

My brain is already thinking. . . there's gotta be a way I can make my own. Hmmmm. I like the idea of tarot jewelry.
