On December 4, there's a new moon solar eclipse in the 4th house of Saggitarius. I haven't been able to find anything on its implications for magick and ritual. Can anyone help?

This eclipse could bring an awakening experience from behind the scenes which will break forth from the collective consciousness of America, changing our world view, and expressing in a new and transformed manner in America's personality. What have we forgotten as a nation about our ideals and who we are in the world?
Individually and collectively we can consciously accept a new stage of experience in readiness for the opportunity the eclipse will present. I find this promising, but it may feel uncomfortable. As we each own our personal hidden agendas and misuses of power, we create the space for healing the collective. Americans may have to accept increased accountability for certain attitudes and behavior. As we pass any threshold, leading to a new realm of experience, we can choose to meet certain requirements and adjustments willingly or perhaps face a more difficult awakening.

Near, during or right after a solar eclipse, one should not make any major decision as in a few weeks new information is revealed that might lead them to a different conclusion. Matters begun on the day of the eclipse are especially fated. Jupiter retrograde in Leo makes us work much harder toward achieving our goals and work. We need to reevaluate how we use our big EGO to push others to do what we wish from them. Are we too pushy and self-confident? How do we use our creative skills and do we have fun? Are our relations with our children good and nurturing? Answers to these questions need to be found during the Retrograde.

A full moon on the evening of December 3rd, combined with a total solar eclipse, could be a very pivotal point for world events. Sagittarius is everything to do with action and energy, especially with a Sagittarius moon conjunct (within 0°) Sun, Pluto, and Mercury also in Sagittarius.
From the start of December until the 5th, a grand trine occurs between Uranus, Saturn, and Mars (sudden events being held in check). This may be the fundamental aspect for the month. Mars (action) and Uranus (sudden events) in aspect is normally a very volatile and erratic energy. The sextile of the Sun (energy) and Pluto (war) to Uranus (sudden events) is also volatile. With the situation in the Middle East, these aspects are even more significant. If anything happens it will likely be in the first five days of December, especially around the 3rd to the 5th.

Thanks so much! This looks like the energy is there for some positive change. Here's some additional information that Mareth posted to our other list:
Moon in Sagittarius
Sagittarian energy is concerned with freedom,
growth and finding the underlying meaning of
life; Sagittarius Moon times are good for learning,
travel, growth, spirituality, law, publishing,
and expanding your mind as well as your horizons.
Of course, every day is good for spirituality,
but spiritual practices tend to go especially well
now; you may have a break-through in your learning
process.
NEW MOON / TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE 1.34 am cst
The New Moon is the time to begin new projects;
whatever house it transits in the birth chart will
be the prominent theme for the month. Usually, the
twelve houses are "visited" by the New Moon around
the same time each year, and when the New Moon
transits the First House, it signifies the querent's
Lunar New Year, and the beginning of a new cycle.
This marks the Lunar New Year for the sign of
Sagittarius.
Since this New Moon is also an total solar eclipse,
this is an especially significant lunation. Whatever
house 11 deg 57' Sagittarius is found in your personal
birth chart will be very significant this year - the
effect of a solar eclipse is said to have an effect
for a full year. Matters ruled by the house it is in
will be very significant... since this solar eclipse
is just before the winter solstice, this is a very
significant time for ritual, growth and meditation.
All eclipses signify transformation - what changes
do you need to make regarding matters ruled by the
house the eclipse is in?

Solar Eclipse Work: Setting the Tone
New Moons are seed points for an entire 29 or 30 day lunar cycle. The visions and intentions we create at these times can set the foundation for this entire period. When we talk about solar eclipses, the intentions we make can have reverberations for months and sometimes years to come. You may have felt this on a smaller level when you wake up in the morning. The way that we get up, brush our teeth, eat our breakfast and walk out the door has a strong effect on the rest of the day. If we wake up late for work, jump out of bed, wolf down a meal and then drive like a maniac to get to work on time, the whole rest of the day can feel rushed and harried. We have set up a tone, or frequency, that has carried through the entire day. As another example, imagine you are starting to build a house, but because you are in a hurry or are not very present you don't buy the right materials or equipment. You end up with a poorly framed house that is more likely to have problems later.
Seed point times such as the beginning of the day, the New Moon, or the solstices and equinoxes, are when we reset our vibratory frequency, pay attention and set up a good intention and strong foundation for the period ahead. Solar eclipses are particularly important because they set a tone for a long time to come. Eclipses happen in cycles that are often about 6 months apart. Eclipses shift where they are in the sky in a sequenced order and return to the same point in the sky every 19 years. This is known as a Saros cycle. Though I mainly think of eclipses affecting us for about 6 months, they can actually affect us for up to 19 years!
Ritual Work: Connecting with the OM
The best way I know how to "reset the frequency" is to create a ritual at these pivotal times of the year. Rituals, meditation and prayer work help us to return to a source point—to come back to who we are at our essential core. Life circumstances, busy schedules and the pace of the modern world often push us to a frequency that is debilitating and stressful. Eventually, these debilitating frequencies can create disharmony and eventually illness. They also affect our interactions with other people, and on a global level they can lead to societal dysfunction and war.
"Core" rituals help us to realign with a more earth-based frequency that is natural and healthy. You can sense this vibration when you go outside into the woods and listen quietly. In the winter, there is a stillness that is palpable. If you've ever walked through an empty field of snow, you know that sound of complete quiet. To some, that silence can sound like a single note—a resonant OM that underlies all of creation.
A Sagittarius Ritual
Rituals can be a time to check in with that underlying silence and integrate it into your life—to allow it to be your bedrock. Rituals can be done whenever you like, but a ritual created at an eclipse time such as this is immensely healing and sets a strong tone for a long period to come. For this eclipse in Sagittarius, create an altar space that has themes of the archer-vision, belief, creativity, joy. You may want to add some red candles and reddish stones like garnet or carnelian. Light some fiery incense such as juniper or sandalwood. In this space, you can give thanks for all your blessings, all your gifts. Then, in this space, make prayers for how you want your life to unfold and how you can give back to the world and the people around you. These intentions will create the foundation of your life for a long time to come and can be the basis for a healthy, harmonious life. Blessings!
