Kaya,
Here is your past life reading. Don't be surprised if some if seems to apply to your current life.
You were a man and you lived near water, possibly the British Isles (England, Scotland, Ireland). You were born in the winter. Your mother was a passionate woman with a quick temper. Your father was much older than your mother. There was no love in this marriage, it was more of convenience than anything else. A very wealthy family though. You were an adventuresome young man (ok, so you probably got into a lot of trouble :D ). When you were about 13 or 14 there was a great unexpected change in your life that completely shifted everything that you knew. Your mother was murdered by someone that she felt could be trusted. This brought you enormous sadness as you were close to your mother. Your father was stern and unforgiving, very demanding and you felt you could never live up to his standards. There was some hope of escaping this though. And you did. Through the kindness of a stranger. You became an apprentice to a master craftsman, a metal worker. You traveled the country side with your teacher who was a kind and gentle man. You did not marry, but instead adopted an apprentice of your own when the time came. You worked very hard at your craft, however, you never felt you were good enough. You were sad most of your life. You died of old age.
There you go Kaya, I hope you enjoy.

Here's your reading Bethra:
You were a woman and you lived in a warm climate, possibly near the equator. You birth was uneventful, but your mother was not a very nice woman. Your father was sweet, kind and very naive. You had a sister who was older than you who took care of you more than your mother or father. The bond with this sister was very strong and has carried into this life. (Think of someone very close to you, doesn't have to be a relative, who is always protective of you and who likes to take care of you.) You were married at a very young age and had three children. Your family was poor and your husband had to work very hard in order to provide for the family. Your children were happy and you were skilled at your profession. Your family name was known throughout your area as hard workers. This led to more and more work for your husband and yourself and you eventually were able to 'move up in the world.' Your family took a great voyage. (Perhaps one of the first families to move to the Americas!) But, you missed your first home greatly for the rest of your life. When you died, you and your husband left a great legacy for your decendants. You died of natural causes related to old age.

Here you go:
You were a man and you lived near water, but not the ocean. A large lake or river. You were born to unwed parents, which was a scandal. You never knew your father and your mother was a very sad woman. Your childhood was miserable. You died young.
Ok, let's see if we can find a different life. Shuffling again...
You were a man and you lived near mountains. Your mother died during your birth. Your father remarried to a wicked, nasty woman. Your father died within two years of your birth. You were sent to a church orphanage. You were taken in by a kind and wealthy man. Who died shortly after adopting you. But, he left you all of his money. You grew to be a very sad and very angry man, who owned many people. You traveled many places. And had many parties in your home. You never married, and never had children. You died of old age, alone and sad.
Ok, I'm sorry those seemed to really suck. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow.

You were a woman and you were born into a warm climate. Your birth was traumatic for your father. It was very unexpected. He was an older man and didn't think he could have anymore children. But, your home life and childhood was blissfully happy. Your mother was a kind and generous woman, as was your father. Your family was wealthy by most standards. There was much sibling rivalry and fighting in your family though. Your brothers were jealous of you as you were the only girl and received much of your fathers attention. Your father died when you were a young teen and your mother died shortly after him. You were left in the care of your brothers who arranged a marriage for you. This man was much older than you. You were in love with another though. The one that you loved was of the working class and was very skilled. He had to work very hard to survive. You were not able to marry him though, you had to marry the man your brothers chose for you. Instead of suffering through a loveless marriage you chose to take your own life.

Sorry this one took so long Morgainne, forgive me please... :(
You were a man and you were born in a country with castles and hills/mountains and grapes. Possibly France (or what is now called France...) It was cold/winter when you were born, your mother was an older woman (late 30s) and your father was the love of her life. Their marriage was near perfect. You traveled often. You family may have been gypsies or another similar group. Your family was not rich, but they could not be considered poor either. They lived comfortably. You had a brother who got into a lot of trouble with the elders of your village/tribe. He was often caught stealing. You were the older brother and often felt responsible for his actions. Your father grew weary of the troubles caused by your brother and sent him away. This saddened you to no end. You felt as if you could have done more to save him from the life he chose. Because of the trouble with your brother, you left the lifestyle of your family and settled down to a life of farming. You spent many nights wondering about what happened to your brother, you never saw him again. You felt that you owed a debt because of your brother. You finally found balance and peace with a woman who was a couple of years older than you. She was your soulmate for that lifetime and possible others. You built a home and a family together and slowly built a secure future for your children. Your death was of natural causes and old age.
Aine of the Fae
December 2nd, 2002, 10:46 PM
You were a man and you lived on the ocean. You weren't a very nice person in this lifetime. You dwelt on the past, which made you a very sad and angry person. Your parents were kind souls however they died when you were very young. You were a seagoer of the worst kind. Probably a pirate. You found love once, but let greed take it away. But, you were very good at what you did (even if it was stealing from others....) You brought ruin and death to many. but, there was great sadness in your heart all of your life. You lied, you cheated and you stole your way to the top. You eventually became captain of your own ship. You married a woman who was as cruel and heartless as yourself. You had a child who was nothing like you or your wife. You were cruel and abusive. (Take heart though, in your current life you have moved past the Karma from that past nasty one.) You died during a mutiny of your crew.

You were a woman. You lived in a mountainous region of Europe. Your birth was shrouded in mystery and pain. Your mother died during your birth. Your father was in some sort of prison. You were raised by an older relative. You traveled often. Your childhood was sad because you never had a place to call home. You had an older sibling who was more of a child than you. As you grew you had to care for this sibling. You married a much older man, one whom you did not love. You made many personal sacrifices for this marriage. You gave up the hope of finding love in that life. There was a war going on at one point in your life. During this time you had a child. Your child grew to be a political leader in your region. He was also a great warrior. You died near the sea of natural causes.
Aine of the Fae
December 3rd, 2002, 04:35 PM
You were a woman. You lived on an island in a warm area, possibly the south Pacific. You were a native of this island. This was a strong tribal civilization and your father was the ruler. You had a great deal of freedom. This was an exciting life for you, the beginning of a soul cycle. It was a difficult time for your tribe. The weather patterns were erratic and so food sources were unpredictable. Your father was deeply troubled about the tribes future and this affected your goals and desires. You learned the skills of fishing and navigation (odd for a woman) to help your people find new waters to provide food. You met and mattied a soul mate in that life. You had many children and you brought great hope to your people. However, you were terribly injured in a storm. Your husband helped you to recover. You were betrayed by a loved one, a child of yours who wanted your power. Your other children rallied around you and gave you the strength to continue. Your husband died of old age and you passed shortly after.

You were a man and this life began in a desert with pyramids, probably Egypt. Your parents loved each other immensely. However you had a brother who was not so thrilled at your birth. Your family were craftsmen, metal or stoneworkers. You were the youngest child. Your parents died when you were still young. You were taken into a religious group. This was forced by your brother so he could keep all of your parents' fortune. You married a strong-willed woman. You had no children. You rose through the ranks of the priesthood. You had to fight a great deal of lies and deception. You were strong and capable as a priest. You became very wealthy, more than your brother. There was a scandal, but you triumphed. You were assassinated by your brother.
Aine of the Fae

You were a man in this life. This life occurred a very long time ago. Your mother was a priestess who dedicated her life to the service of her god/dess. You were sent to live with your father who was very young. Your grandmother helped raise you. Your grandfather was a builder. You rarely saw your mother throughout your life. You never married in this life. You became a warrior instead. You fought for the safety of your people and you were very good at it. During your middle age (30-40) you went on a spiritual quest to try to find a way to end the war that was destroying your land. You died of an illness before you were able to see the peace that you started.

December 3rd, 2002, 04:44 PM
You were a man and you were born during a time of great change and fighting, a time of war and strife. Your father was killed in a battle before you were born. Your mother was unable to care for you and you were taken into a church orphanage. You studied to become a priest. Your mother came back into your life shortly before you took your final vows and she tried to influence you in negative ways. You took your vows and used the church as a stepping stone into political influence. You were an advisor to kings. You had an illegitimate child, but your political connections were able to hide this. You kept many mistresses and had affairs with many women and men. You died of diseases associated with your secret lifestyle.

For your reading I chose a five card spread called the direction spread. In position 1 (your current life direction) is the Fool. You are ready to or even already are starting over. Recent adjustments in your beliefs and attitudes have given you a new outlook on life.
In position 2 (the lesson you're learning) - is Karma (traditionally Judgement) - You are working towards balance and repaying Karmic debts. Karma is something we all must deal with at one time or another and you are finally beginning to feel as if you're ready to face your past mistakes.
In position 3 (What you're moving toward) - The Sun - joy, fulfillment and completion. As you move through this Karmic cycle you will feel more and more complete.
In position 4 (Your long-term objective) is the Five of Cauldrons (cups) this is a card of regret and dwelling on the past, but in this position it means moving away from regret towards the hop of the future.
In position 5 (What will help you attain your objective) is Temptation (traditionally the Devil) a card of deceit and lies, of greed and misplaced trust. In this position this card tells me that you must be careful of whom you take advice from and to trust your intuition when dealing with others.

A general reading. First we have the Empress - she is a warm and nurturing woman, a mother figure. This card indicates a possibility of pregnancy, and also an abundant, happy life. The next two cards are both Kings - The King of Swords and the Kind of Rods.
The King of Swords represents law and order and justice, maybe a policeman, lawyer, judge, doctor or writer. He is a stern man who rules his home with strict authority.
The King of Wands is a passionate man with a bit of a temper. He is very stubborn and likes to have his way.
These two men may often be at odds with one another. They each demand your loyalty and attention and it is difficult for you to make a decision regarding them. The cards aren't wanting to tell me what you need to do about this, you'll have to search deep within your heart to find the answer.

I have been told many times by several different poeple that I lived in Egyptian times. I am fascinated by mummies and always got a bit creeped out in the Mummy Room at the Metropolitan Museum in NYC. Creeped out in an eeire, not scared way. I'd love to know how I was assasinated- I have had fears of being buried alive and when I saw that scene in Aida I was so emotional. :)

You were a woman and you were born in a very cold mountainous area. You mother was a very intelligent woman and was the leader of your family. Your father was a warrior and was away fighting wars all over the known world. Your house was of wood. Your family life during childhood was very happy and fulfilling, in spite of the many arguments with siblings. Your mother's husband wasn't your real father. Your mother had been married before and your father died. You spent your teenage years in the solitude of a convent and even considered taking vows as a nun. However the mystical arts were too attractive to you. You left the convent against your family's wishes. You married a powerful man who was not of the faith of your family. (This life may have been during the time of mass conversions of people to Christianity) You had several children and a happy marriage. You died of old age.

One thing I got right! I'd always figured that part. I even have current life ties there.
Your father was much older than your mother. There was no love in this marriage, it was more of convenience than anything else.
Oh boy did this ever flow over to the present. Father was definately WAY older than mom, but at least they divorced when I was 2 this time around. (And I'm not gonna go into the 'convenience' part of it... ;) :D)
You became an apprentice to a master craftsman, a metal worker.
Dang... you sure on this metal thingy? I much prefer wood these days.

You were a man and you lived near water. It was warm, some place where dolphins played. You were a twin. Your mother was warm and caring and your father was very greedy, with his time and his money. Your father was very cold to you and your twin brother, you could never do anything to please him. You and your brother often seemed to live in your own little world. This concerned your mother, she often had thoughts that you were evil or possessed by the devil, but you weren't, you just enjoyed your self and your brother. You were a very giving person, you often helped others to the detriment of yourself. But, having the twin brother helped you to balance your life properly. You worked in or were a part of government during your adult life. And you married a woman who was much like your father. She was often jealous of the relationship that you had with your brother. She tried to keep you from him. You had an affair with a younger woman. And your wife found out. She made a public disgrace of you. She had you and the other woman executed for your 'crime.'

I'll try to read a life that you have had memories of, but I can't make any promises. The cards can be.... finicky... sometimes. :D
You were a woman. You were born near water in a place where snakes live. Your father was a priest, a catholic priest. Your mother was married to another man. You got to live, but your mother didn't. She was executed for adultery and seducing a priest (it wasn't really her fault.) You were an outcast as you grew. Many people thought that you would be 'evil' just like your mother. But you were a very kind, giving person. You secretly practiced the 'old ways.' Until you were caught. And executed for heresy.

You were a woman, you lived near mountains and it was hot wherever you lived. You were not a very nice person in this life. You were born to the ruler of a region, a lord or possibly even a king. It was a large nation. Your mother was a slave, a member of a harem. Your father was extremely wealthy. You liked to work with your hands. You were an assassin. You were really good at what you did though. You made lots of money. And lots of enemies. You killed your father to gain his throne. You married his wife (your stepmother) and then you killed her. You had many children with many women. And were very happy with your self. (I guess you like being a not nice person...) You continually had to watch your back. You were often starting wars with neighboring peoples. You went on a quest to find treasure later in life. You returned victorious and richer than ever before. You were killed by your son, who wanted your throne. (what goes around comes around?)
Boy, that one was icky. I guess we all have those kinds of lives at one point or another.

Thank you for the reading Aoibheann. I need to review it some more as I can't find any links between then and now - but it's my understanding that there aren't always links between past lives and the present - is this correct? I also don't think this is the life the palmist saw either.

The past lives that we tend to 'remember' most are those that were most recent. The further back in time they get, the more the memories fade. But, the Universe and thus Tarot remembers all from the beginning of time.

You're right Aoibheann. The memories I have are of being a young woman in WWII England. But I think one of the things about past lives is we aren't meant to remember all of them in detail - otherwise we might be trying to relive them, instead of living the life we have now.
Thanks for the reading. It sounds sadly like all too many lives in Europe during the 17th century Reformation and Counter Reformation struggle, doesn't it? Or at least, that's the way it instantly resonates with me.

Past Life reading for FlamedLilly:
You were a man and you were born in the dark days of winter. You were born to a strong mother and a kind, gentle father. Your childhood was marked by sadness and despair due to the horrible conditions of your nations people. Early on in life you were given a difficult choice to make regarding your future. This involved giving up your own beliefs and freedom in order to serve another for the benefit of your family. This choice isolated you in many ways and you never saw your family again. However, this decision benefited them tremendously and you were able to see the known world, something that most people of the time never even dreamed of. You fell deeply in love with a woman who would have been considered your 'superior'. She feel in love with you as well, but the relationship was never able to come into being. You both suffered silently because you knew your position in the 'world.' You helped your 'master' become very wealthy and you enjoyed great status and benefits, however you were always searching and hoping for a way to go back home. You died at sea during a voyage with your master.

Here ya go:
You were a man and you were born in the deserts of Egypt, during the time of the construction of the Pyramids. You were a wealthy man, one of great influence. You were a great military leader. You spent a great deal of time near water. You often met with the Pharoah/King/Ruler to advise him on war issues. You suffered a broken heart early in life due to the death of your very young wife. She was your soulmate in that life. You had a son with her whom you entrusted to a priestess. Your life was a successful one, but you were haunted by the sadness of your wife's death. Your son resented you because you were never there. You died during a battle.

Here it is:
You were a woman born in a very cold and windy climate. What we now know as Russia perhaps. You parents loved each other dearly and were thrilled when you were born, in spite of the desolate conditions of the population at the time. Your family was very poor, but they were the kind of people who could make the best out of any bad situation. There was a war going on at the time of your birth, an invasion of some sort. This was a time of Queens and Kings, Tsars and Tsarinas, a time of royalty and peasantry and you were born to a peasent family. The were lies and deception dealing directly with you. You were sent to a 'court' for criminal charges of some sort. As a woman you were treated much less harshly than a man would have been in your position, however you were basically forced into slavery because of your supposed crime. Your master and mistress were kind people who taught you many things. You were given your freedom when a young man whom you had fallen in love with asked for your hand in marriage. You had no children in that life, but you were happy nonetheless. You died of old age.

Thanks for doing the reading for me, it was really very interesting. I'll have to try the spread for myself and see what else I can come up with.

Wow, Aoibheann! That was really interesting. Especially about me being a military leader. The thought of war gives me the horrors, so it wasn't something I was expecting.
Thanks for the reading.

Perhaps having been a military leader and having experienced war first hand, you know just how terrible they truly are and that's why the thought of war frightens you now.

I also never had anything CLOSE to a past life reading - if you can squeeze me in there please do - It can't be too long this reading of mine because I thought people learn from their past yet I dig a deeper grave for myself each step I take hehe

I'm doing good now, but my computer is not. It won't load windows anymore so it won't do anything.... I'm at a library computer that I can only use for 10 mins at a time so I'll get readings done as soon as I get my comp fixed or get a new one. Sorry about all this guys.
