ITS NAVRATRIIII :D.
A fun and great holiday. 9 full days of Goddesses, Goddesses, Goddesses...
I've been listening to this all night, and it's one of my favorite renditions of the Narayani Sthotram.
The story is that after Durga defeated and slaughtered the armies of Mahishasura, the Gods who had given her their powers came out and in a massive procession sang to her.

So, you may be asking... what is Navratri?
It's a nine day long event starting at the new moon in the month of Ashwin, and continuing unbtil the 9th day. It's a time filled with contemplation, parties, fun and celebration of the forms of the Goddess Durga.
Durga as Kali, Durga as Mahishasurasardini, Durga as Parvati, Durga as Mahalaxmi and vice versa.
