Fertility clinic to couple: You got the wrong embryos

On a cold morning in February, 10 days after undergoing in vitro fertilization, Carolyn Savage lay in bed at her Ohio home waiting for the results of her pregnancy test.

Time was moving slowly. It was getting late and the call from the fertility clinic should have come by lunchtime.

I think it's very kind of them to have decided to give the baby to the genetic parents, but that must be so very awful!

I would definitely go after the clinic, though, if it had been me because it's her last chance down the drain due to a mistake that could have been easily avoided.

I believe the whole thing with the wrong embryos was a horrid mistake and I wouldn't be surprised if they sued the doctor. There should be better measures not to make mistakes like that.

I'll probably get a lot of flack for this but, what I find worse is that the couple knew they would have complicated during the pregnancy but went ahead and decided to give it another go. Knowingly putting your baby's life in danger just seems really selfish to me.
