I ran across this article while I was looking for something else. I think it's well written and reminds me more of the "eclectic" path rather than no path. Just putting it out for discussion:

Path of No Path

In my long journey's with many paths and years of research,...I found something unusual. Enough to be able to write about it and share it with you. I examined all belief systems and asked this question of myself. "Does it benefit me/my life or nurture me in a way that is appropriate for me?" If the answer was "no",...I tossed it! I was pretty much left with nothing! (snickers) Good thing too,...because I found a great "Something" in the nothingness that was left!

The path of No Path,...is within self. It is not a belief system. There are no special lenses anymore to view life from. It is a clear and innocent way of living. You can live with a few core beliefs,...such as believing in a creator or in reincarnation,...there is however no belief system wrapped up around basic core beliefs in the path of no path. It is living by being guided from within and listening to your own answers and only from within. No belief systems attached. It is about abandoning trends, notions, belief systems, limitations, rules, getting verifications, and instead, trusting completely on the inner wise one

Belief systems are like boxes. They have rules and limitations. The Path of No Path releases the need for a box! No pretty ribbons to wrap around it either!

It requires of oneself courage to let go of all belief systems. To begin from the most natural place within the self. From the wisdom that lies within,...from the inner voice,...there is guidance to follow the path of no path of the soul. That is the most natural path without really having a path.

No Path means to surrender to life completely. It means to have no spiritual goal. It means to have no direction.

In surrender, in the letting go,...everything comes and fills up the empty places. In surrender,...great faith and knowingness enters. After the fear is over of course!

There are no guidelines,...no books,...no rules to follow except those one's you hear within yourself. There is total freedom from social views and expectations. There is total freedom to have your own thoughts and be truly the individual soul that you are.

There is no desire to fit in anywhere. There is no desire to be with other's of like mind. There is no desire to jump ship and buy the newest book of one path or another.

There is no desire to have your insights understood by other's. Everything "just is". And that is the platform on which you walk ahead in your life with pure faith.

If you are truly aware of nature,...you will notice there is no egotism in her anywhere. Not in any realm of plant or creature. It is all being in a place I like to call,..."the natural state of grace". The natural state of spirit. That is a place we might consider aspiring too. To be one with all things,...means giving up the ego attachment and becoming natural again.

A natural being is one guided by inner voice, inner wisdom. Not a trendy path that you can share with friends, family or other's. It has nothing to do with ego. It helps you find more of yourself along the way. It is the most "private" and personal affair of the soul.

It requires you to know and accept that people like their belief systems and it serves a purpose for them. Belief systems keep the mind active, and the mind hates to be bored. Keeps the personality in motion. Keeps the ego focused even in trials and tribs. Belief systems are focus's or lenses in which are used to specifically view self and life through. They often do not originate from within the self,...but are adopted along the way from society, peers etc..

The path of No Path means you walk alone. It means you are achieving the ability of total Acceptance and living in "just is".

Qualities of spiritual powers come back as something quite natural as well. There are many surprises on the path of No Path.

When something uncomfortable happens along the way in life,...there is very little emotional turmoil over it. After all,...living in the land of "Just Is" is the way of no path. It is acceptance and simple faith in life itself. Complete Faith. Nothing stays the same,...everything is in motion toward evolution,...so everything just is.

There are no heavy expectations that keep you motivated and charged. Nothing to let you down on. Instead,...you form a new relationship with yourself and a trust in your own inner wisdom. There is great joy in this. Having a relationship with this wise person inside!

The Path of No Path is the flow of life. Your very own personal life. The flow of your personal life within all of life. It is most honorable and powerful to live and completely trust inner self. It is more natural than anyone can imagine!

It happens along the path of no path that you will check the foundations of all of your intents. You may want to make some changes. That may even include adding to your life certain aspects of traditions that offer you nurturement or support after you have walked no where for awhile. Perhaps this might be things added to balance the levels of your life. Exercise for the physical body, that could be from tie bo to yoga to just about anything. Mental activities could include meditation etc.. By stripping yourself of all the overloaded stuff in the mind,...you often find yourself coming back through purer and clarified intent, to do those things that did benefit you. Whatever it will be,...it will be from your own design, guided by your own inner self.

Path of No Path is a wonderful adventure to clean out and restore.

If this person was against seeking out like minded people with which to share this vision...why would they make an article about it?

"There is no desire to have your insights understood by other's." (um...ok)

They also seemed a little egotistical for someone so against the ego. "Hey look at me! I'm blazing my own trail! I'm not a deluded conformist! Arent I courageous and unique?"

They make it seem as if its an idea they came up with themselves.

(ok ok, so I go a little overboard but...still)

When you talk about "The Ego," that is not the same 'ego' that is denoted by the word "egotistical."

You view life from your own model - a result of your memories, experiences, how you were raised, etc. It is impossible to take "the lenses" of that off, because you'd have to remove a good part of your brain.

You can live with a few core beliefs,...such as believing in a creator or in reincarnation,...there is however no belief system wrapped up around basic core beliefs in the path of no path.

Uh if you live with a few core beliefs aren't you "in a belief system wrapped up around basic core beliefs"? Admittedly it's your own belief system, but it is still a belief system, *and* still consists of beliefs as "lenses".

It is living by being guided from within and listening to your own answers and only from within.

Funny, that's what a lot of people's beliefs are based on - listening to your own answers and finding the way within.

No belief systems attached. It is about abandoning trends, notions, belief systems, limitations, rules, getting verifications, and instead, trusting completely on the inner wise one

Here we are abandoning belief systems again, even though we were just told we can create our own based on core beliefs if we like, but that isn't a belief system. Ok, then!

Belief systems are like boxes. They have rules and limitations.

Which is why we should abandon beliefs by holding core beliefs without having a personal system of belief. Got it.

No Path means to surrender to life completely. It means to have no spiritual goal. It means to have no direction.

Ah so you sit around in a hole by yourself, never shower, and never get anywhere in life. Well that's definitely a good path for taking control of your life and looking within yourself!

In surrender, in the letting go,...everything comes and fills up the empty places. In surrender,...great faith and knowingness enters. After the fear is over of course!

Faith in what? If you can't have beliefs, what are you having faith in?

There is total freedom to have your own thoughts and be truly the individual soul that you are.

That's funny, we all have that freedom.

There is no desire to fit in anywhere. There is no desire to be with other's of like mind. There is no desire to jump ship and buy the newest book of one path or another.

These desires arise from the individual and their needs, not from a specific path. People from every belief subscribe to it to "fit in".

There is no desire to have your insights understood by other's. Everything "just is".

What haedis said.

Uh no, animals have ego. This guy has apparently never had a dog who got their nose out of joint when you got a new pet, or who pissed on the floor because you stayed out too late, or a cat who ran in front of you because you weren't paying attention and he wanted attention. In the animal world you will see animals vying for attention to breed; in their case ego, being "the biggest mofo out there" has a purpose in that it propagates the species, however it does exist.

I could give more examples here, but it's obvious to me that egoism is not purely a human thing.

Ah. You have no job, your friends have all left, your dog ran away, and your family just died - but hey who cares, you don't believe in anything, so nothing matters...?

There are no heavy expectations that keep you motivated and charged. Nothing to let you down on.

Oh I know the name of this philosophy, Lazy!

That may even include adding to your life certain aspects of traditions that offer you nurturement or support after you have walked no where for awhile.

What, I thought nobody needed to be nurtured or supported, because nothing matters?

In summary, certainly I understand the value in re evaluating one's beliefs, their purpose and appropriateness, etc. I certainly see nothing wrong in abandoning structured belief, or any belief for that matter, if it suits you.

However, the author of this article takes on a superior stance, suggesting that people who do have beliefs are wasting time and distancing themself from common sense and personal consideration. Certainly some people do that, but it is the fault or result of themself and their way of approaching life, not that of organized religion. Meanwhile the author makes several contradictory statements that leave me at the end wondering what the heck their point was at all.

Do I agree with the initial point of abandoning common belief as necessary to look within and find belief that fits within oneself? Certainly. I myself did this months ago - giving up religion and spirituality as a whole, I found a new path to follow, or more correctly was shoved on it. I agree with believing things that are useful, with finding faith in oneself, but I don't agree with this attitude the author shows which is contradictory and egotistical in itself.

 I agree. It seems as though the author thinks they came up with a whole new concept, doesn't it?

No..I don't think that author made a significant discovery of the new path.

Many parts of the article very much remind of some points within a Buddhist philosophy. Add a little bit of Satanist and Chaos Magic points along with Existentialist philosophy and the new Path of no Path is created..

I don't know..doesn't seem too revolutionary..

Oh well

another example of the difference between "talking it" amd "living it"
There is no such thing as a "path of no path" ugggggg
Forget all the nonsense, all the trying to understand it all and just live. But then, what will you do with your fear? Dont say you dont have any...you do...your full of fear.
My opinion is that all this spiritual nonsense is a way for people to deal with their fear. A point to focus on. If you focused on an olive pit it would do the same as focusing on how Jesus Christ is your savior. Its only a focus. a way to get away from the fear.
Now take these words and burn them because they are lies...:O)
Have a nice day!
LIVE IT!
