I hear my name being called and the voice usually sounds like one of my coworkers or my manager. Pending on who's working. Except when I respond, everyone denies calling my name. Now I have misheard "Hi sir" and " Hi there" for my name numorous times. But sometimes it's so clear that someone is calling me. And sometimes it's avoice that is not known to me and when I ask someone if they heard someone call my name, they didn't.
And yesterday when I was the only one in the back I heard an " excuse me" right behind me while I was stalking the back fridge. It's a very small back room and the fridge is at the very back of the cramped space and is placed right in front of a desk. Everyone was in the front dealing with customers.
I'm not too creeped out. I've heard of even more clear and descriptive things being said by mysterious voices from out of nowhere. But I'm very curious as to what it all means. Is this a spirit guide or gaurdian angel or someone or something from another realm trying to communicate with me or warn me of soemthing?

Okay so I never respond to these things because I'm intimidated by criticism but I just had to say that I think you are just in their space. That they are habitual and I really believe they wont bother/harm you.

Perhaps. But if I go through them and can't really see them, then shouldn't the same be for them?
Who are they?

Clairaudient much? Could be someone/something speaking directly to your "inner ear". Have you ever experienced pressure or other sensations in your head above, behind, or below your ears when you hear these things?

Uh, no. It's all unexpected and unpredictable as can be. I've heard disembodied voices as far back as I can remember. Normally it's my name. Once it was a very very clear voice complimentng me. Very occasionally, perhasp more than I realize, it's saying somethin directly or indirectly to me. I don't believe I' m schizo. I don't have voices telling me what to do or constanly talking to me. I just have random once in while things I hear being said. Sometimes I even hear a child crying or calling out mommy.
I'm an avid paranormal enthusiast but I've been keeping that interest rather on the sidelines so I haven't been thinking about paranormal phenomena as often and letting my imagination run wild.
Like I said. It really comes out of the blue.

I think it could mean several things. One includes contact from other beings -- but I can't tell if it's your guardian angel or something else. You could do meditation to find out, or try to get messages through dreams, or maybe divining any signs or "omens."
It could also mean someone is or several people are talking/thinking about you, not necessarily in a bad way.
Finally, it could just be some sort of weird brain blip.

It could be your subconscious trying to get your attention, trying to make you see or understand something. Probably something job related since it happens most at work.

This has happened to me, but on only a few occasions. The most recent was within the past week which woke me from my sleep. A womans voice called my name, clearly and sharply. It shocked me straight out of my sleep and came out of nowhere, having nothing to do with whatever it was I was dreaming about at the time.
I try to look for meaning in these things, however I rarely find any answer that satisfies me. I do become much more sensitive I think to what is going on around me, although I usually just observe and mull things over in my mind, trying not to jump to conclusions.
I cannot give you any great help I'm afraid.
You just reminded me of the other morning with this post. Thank you :)

it could be that you are hearing their thoughts or that somebody is playing a joke, or that your hearing their thoughts so that they can play a joke, sort of like psychic pranking?

This happens to me on a nightly basis... when I'm falling to sleep I hear voices... Not voices that tell me to do bad things, lol... people talking.. a few times I've heard LOUD AND CLEAR right in my ear something saying "HI SAM," (Sam is my name), and often I hear laughter...
I was never sure if it was just my dreams beginning, or if I was somehow able to hear voices of spirits... I like to think it's the latter, but there is no way for me to be certain as they don't tend to respond to direct questioning.
I think you're hearing spirits... Or hearing when people are thinking about you.

It doesn't happen to me quite so often. Just once ina while. But when it happens I'm fully awake and alone in a room. I may be hearing someones thoughts I don't know. But very oftren I never feel quite alone. In fact come to think of it. I don't think I know what real loneliness feels like because I've always felt a presence which could explain why I've never felt comfortable sleeping with my door closed at night.

Good, so I'm not the only one "hearing voices". :hyper:
Yes, I hear my name so often while I'm at work, only to know that no one has actually called me.

When I was small, I was told that if I heard my name being called when no one was there, not to answer. I remember something being said along the lines of things from the other side (ghosties, demons and other assorted baddies) trying to draw me to them. I never listened and I'm still here....or am I?
