Do any of you have any My Little Ponies (or generics) that might be willing to become kid’s toys once again?

Let me explain the situation:

My friend has 4 little girls, all under the age of 10. Her 3 oldest are really into the ponies right now. My friend & her husband are having a rough time right now. He works two jobs; sometimes he is at his 2nd job until midnight or later (he is a waiter). My friend stays at home with the girls. Since 2 of them do not attend school, childcare would eat up any income she might get.

Without her knowledge, I am trying to round up some ponies & other gifts for the girls. Mostly the ponies will be used ones since I am short on funds myself. I plan to clean them up, fix their hair, re-paint them if necessary, and give them to the girls for Christmas. The girls know that they "adopt" ponies that need a good home!

This is where YOU come into the picture.

I really want to pull this off. Unbeknownst to them, my friend & her family have become my project for the Holidays. I found out through another friend that without help, the girls would get very little for Christmas. She signed up to get gifts for the girls through a charity but that is not quite the same as getting what you asked Santa for. Usually through a charity, you get clothing or other necessities. Everyone is giving to charities at this time of year, but I would rather see my good deeds in action by helping out someone that I know.

So far, I managed to buy some off of eBay but as I said, my funds are tight right now as well.

If you, or anyone you know, have any of these that you would either be willing to donate or sell at a low price, please leave a comment here.

These kids will be having a bleak Christmas this year. I just want to be able to send a little light their way.

You can respond here or send me an email (gypsyjade@ureach.com)

Thank you for reading this!

Brightest Blessings to you & your family~

I don't have any ponies (wasn't really my thing once upon a time...) but if there's anything else that is on their list that you're thinking of playing santa for, I might be able to root around and put a few things aside from the garage sale we're having next weekend.

Wish I could help with the ponies...that sounds like a cute idea.

Well, they are typical girls: ages 9, 6, 3, & 18 months. The oldest likes the typical "girlie" things, the younger two are into all of the PBS related things (Barnie, Arthur, etc). They did not really have anything specific on their lists if you can believe it. When I was a kid, I wanted one of everything!!!

Thanks for any help you can give.

Where I live, it's actually the other way around, charities usually do give toys at Christmas and not necessities, which they do the rest of the year. I can't help but good luck to you.

By the way, welcome to Mysticwicks

Ponies? I'll see what I can do. I know people who collect such things, but I'm not sure what my chances are of obtaining parts of said collections. They'll likely have some stuff lying around they could donate, it's more a matter of ME getting them to donate it to your cause.

But like I said, dear, I'll see what I can do.

*salutes* Hamelyn out.
