So I was re-reading a book on Greek mythology, and when it got to the Hades and Persephone one, it mentioned that Demeter had other children, but Persephone was her most beloved one.
I've never heard that before, and I can't find my other books on the subject, and I trust MW's people more than random internet sources, so please teach me something. :fpraise:
Also, I'm confused about the differences between Demeter and Hestia...enlighten me please?

To put it very simply, Demeter is the Goddess of Fertility, Agriculture, and the Harvest. Hestia is the Goddess of the Home and the Hearth. Their spheres of influence are quite distinct, though both had an association with bread and grain.
Hope this helps!

Thank you so much! I had a feeling that the difference between Hestia and Demeter was what you said, but I just couldn't quite trust myself. Lol. The link is wonderful, just what I was looking for.
