For all those who didn't see my intro thread and for those who did but may not remember, I'm due to have a baby in June 2003, our first. We'd like to have the names picked out and decided upon soon so our crafty families can start woodworking, sewing, and painting the name on baby items as soon as we find out the sex (mid-January). We're leaning towards a boy (we've both had dreams of a boy, and have felt that it will be a boy) but we'd like opinions on our name choices for both. Here they are, honesty is always welcome, and any suggestions are welcome too! The last name will be Smith (pff, how boring.)

Boy:
Drystan Taliesin
Dartanyan Taliesin
~Actually, please suggest some cool ones for boys, our list is just not growing, although my partner really likes Drystan because he wants to call him "Drizzt" like the R.A. Salvatore dark elf books... you can laugh... :)

Girl:
Arden Waverly
Serona Morgaine
Sativa Jadelyn
Raven Ryley

Thanks for the help, I will certainly keep you updated!

Here's a few threads from the Fertility Forum. They have lots of good info in there, not just problems, but support, names, and questions.

I have a friend who goes by Taliesin. :)

Another friend of mine just named their daughter Aislynn...I think that's so pretty.

I like Arden...that's really pretty. I'm not too fond of the boys names, but then I'm usually a sucker for more traditional names... I just imagine how much the kid will get teased at school (or not), because of his/her name.
My favorite boys names are Xander and Xavier, but hubby thinks they'd get teased with names like that. I donno.

Haha...I was discussing names with a friend of mine. I told him those that I just posted, they're my favorite boys' names. He just looked at me, shook his head and said he felt sorry for any kids I'd ever have.

Thanks for the thoughts all who replied.

Amethyst Rose, thanks for suggesting Xander, I like it but don't know how my partner will respond to it. Got any middle names to go with it?

I think I will taking Drystan off the list since a few people have compared it to the cold medicine/nasal spray. I have this thread in Fertility Magic also, but I'm going to ask here too - please suggest some boys names - we are really stuck at finding some cool ones that we like. We don't really want anything too traditional though.

Thanks!
