Hello and Merry Meet Friends,

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day, planning for the holiday, etc, and that the snow (if you were blessed with it) is making you smile. :)

Just a quick note: I'm having spinal surgery on the 16th, Monday of next week. When I was 10 I had steel rods put in my back, thanks to a 70 degree curve of scolosis (the curving of the spine.) Now my spine has curved at the bottom, pushing my ribs and shoulders out of proportion, so I'm going to have more rods put in.

I'm not overly excited about it. I'll be in the hospital for a week, and at home on bedrest for a month. That's a month out of school, and I won't be able to be in the spring musical at my school (I was going to try for the Wicked Witch of the West too!). But, most of all I wont be able to celebrate Yule fully, on the corresponding day.

So I'm asking whoever wants to or remembers to think of me during your ritual or in your meditation/prayers. Since I'm not able to partake physically or most mentally, I'm relying on my brothers and sisters to help.

I'd apprecitate any acknowledgement. :)

Thank you, Merry Yule, and Blessed Be.

I had spinal surgery four or five years ago to correct a spondylolisthesis that was allowed to paralyze my left leg before they decided that I wasn't neurotic, which they'd told me for nine years. I have two rods and four screws that now need to come out but I don't have health insurance right now.

Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers, and you may at least know what to expect. I felt like I had no arms and legs in the first 24 hours but was up and walking on the second day. And, I'll get that reading done for you today :)

You got it. I will be thinking of you you both on your surgery and for Yule. Good luck to you. I have to say, you have an awesome attitude!!

I have scoliosis, but was fortunate (yeah, ha ha! Depends on what way you look at it I guess :)) enough to only have a brace for 4 years.
