Sister Trouble

My little sister is 17. She has never been one to share her feelings or open up to anyone, but I've always considered us very close. I have bee. Concerned in the past about her having sex with her boyfriend, because I want her to be safe. This is her first boyfriend. I told her she could tell me if she was having sex, and that I wouldn't tell my mother.

Earlier today, my sister went with my mom to the doctor, and whenthe doctor asked if she wad having sex, she admitted that she was. My mom wad shocked, but not angry. My sister then asked my mother not to tell me. Obviously she did though. I am not angry about her having sex, I am hurt that she wants to hide it from me. I guess I just don't know what to make of this. I feel like she doesn't trust me, and that we aren't as close as I thought.
What should I do? I feel very badly about this.

Maybe shes just embarressed, your her big sister she probably looks up to you alot and didnt know what you would think or say. Being 17 shes probably going through alot emotionally right now and dealing with telling your mum might be all she wants to handle with right now. Maybe give her some time and then try broach the topic a bit later?
