Cleveland, Ohio (CNN) -- The niece of the mayor of Cleveland, Ohio, once lived with murder suspect Anthony Sowell, a registered sex offender charged with murder after the remains of 11 victims were found at his home, a spokeswoman for the mayor said Monday.
Lori Frazier, niece of Mayor Frank Jackson, had a relationship with Sowell that ended two years ago, said Andrea Taylor, a spokeswoman for Jackson's office. Taylor said it is unclear whether the relationship was romantic.
"I just want to know why, why he would do this," Frazier told CNN affiliate WOIO on Friday. "He took care of me, good care of me. I never would have thought there were some bodies in the house."
"I lived with him from 2005 to 2007 and he didn't kill me, but he killed all these girls," she said.

Ewwww, creepy.
I wonder how she couldn't know something was going on; I mean 11 bodies can't be easy to hide.

That's always the question with anything from cheating to murder, but the truth is, people only see what they want to see, if you want to believe your SO is a wonderful person, you'll ignore all evidence to the contrary.

I agree with you completely on that; but I can't accept being that blinded by the smell. Everyone who came in contact with this guy said he stunk to high heaven. I don't know if you've smelled a decaying body before but there's no ignoring that no matter how blind you want to be. That is a smell that sticks to everything.

Unless she knew something and is lying about it.

I've driven past dead bodies of animals, other than that, no.
But i've been around people that just stunk, they'd take a bath and within minutes they'd stink. Maybe she thought that was how he was. Or maybe he told her some animals had gotten trapped in the walls or some such.
They probably burned candles or used room deoderizers, etc. to cover up the smell as well. She'd just get to thinking of it as one of those things she didn't like about where they lived but endured.

If you've never smelled a decaying corpse then you can't understand - it's miles different than smelling a dead deer on the side of the road, trust me. That smell can't be 'covered' by candles and deoderizers and it does not fade until total decomposition is complete. Now that's not to say he didn't tell her a rat died in the walls and she believed it, but there is no mistaking the smell and when you smell it the first time, it NEVER leaves you.
I'm leaning more towards she's lying about what she knows and I'll bet the cops think so too.

You very well may be right, I'll take your word about the smell and hope I never find out.

For your sake Sugar, I hope you never do either.
I'm sure there are going to be many more gory details to come so we'll have to wait and see.

If there were bodies decomposing in the house while she lived in it, then she is lying because WJ is right there is NOTHING that can cover up the smell of rotting human flesh.
My other thought is did he cover the bodies with lye?
