~I see you as you sit, so thin. I turn away and look again, hoping what I see will fade, and you will be as yesterday.

Playing "Tiger in the grass" with your brother, now long past. Stalking creaters so innocent, creeping silence with ill intent. Catching fish from neighbors flashy, and the time you went splashy. A laugh was had by all that day, but still it did not keep you away. In times of saddness you would come, never straying never roming.

Many lives have come for you and every time you've lived them through. I fear the last may have arrived and I dread that soon I must say good bye. I look back to years gone by and wonder how I will survive, without your fur all over the place and paws no longer in my face. Even as these word come all, the tears well up and begin to fall. Lonely long I have been, but you have always been my friend. Forever faithful, forever ture, I will always remember you.

Paw prints glisten in the snow. How many more I do not know, but soon they vanish without a hiss, those small paw prints in the mist.~

~~Poem by Me.

I came up with this as I was sitting here watching my cat inspect the new fallen snow. He's name Is Butterscotch {aka Squishy} and is the first cat I ever owned. He's 19 years and and almost 4 months old. I've had this cat since I was 2, im 21 now. We lost his brother several years back to the same cancer that I now believe is consuming my old cat. But he still fights, and is the only cat i've ever known with a true since of humer. To wake me up in the morning he either lays right up next to my head and putes his nose in my face, or, if im om my back, he lays right on my head. He never fails to bring a smile to my face when I need it most. He's very smart. I some times call him The Ancient, after the old man on "Kung Fu, The Legend Continues." It will be the worst day of my life the day that orange and white tabby passes to the next world. We've been through everything together.

~Bast protect him, and all those who come after, in this life and those to come. I pray we shall meet again someday.~
