I guess we won't know 'till we die, huh?

If you go to Hell for it, I would think it's for worshipping the false Gods, not so much for doing spells. Or it'll be for both.

For what it's worth, obviously I don't believe that :) If the Christian God is the one true God I'm sure he'll understand I had to choose my own path, and forgive me and love me anyway. That's my belief anyway.

Either you believe in hell or you don't. I don't believe in a physical hell, but the spiritual hell of rebirth. The only way to escape this is through true enlightenment and the learning of our Karmic lessons. If you believe in the fire and brimstone, burn for eternity type of hell, than that is your choice and your belief. However a belief in magic and the old gods is not necessarily compatible with hell. You must search deep within yourself to find what you truly believe and what you truly WANT to believe. If you choose to believe in hell, then YOU must decide what you believe will send you there. And then, just don't do those things that make you uncomfortable.

It's my personal belief that if we live without harming others and living in the most honorable way we know, there are no negative consequences. Even when I was Christian, I did not believe in a God who tortured me for my own good.

If you have concerns about being on this path, take your time, learn and give it some serious consideration before deciding whether you want to pursue it. For most of us, magick is not just spells and potions. It is a serious spiritual practice and should be given the same consideration one would give any other religion.
