View Full Version : Was this real or just my subconsicous playing out my worst fears?

I raised a guide dog, Helen, for 1.5 years, and she recently went back to the agency for training. She's not very confident, and I'm dying to have her back (we can adopt them if they're not suited for guide dogs or other work).

Today I meditated, centered, grounded, and then had a lucid dream. I dreamed I met a dog and a tall, dark haired person playing outside together. I asked him if he was blind, and he didn't respond. I asked him if he was Helen's person, and he didn't respond. I asked him if he would take care of Helen, and he said "The best care."

I'm thinking it was either her trainer, her blind person or her policeman. I can't be sure it was even Helen.

Do you think this means anything real? Or is it just my subconscious playing out my underlying thoughts?

I would appreciate any insight. I'm so anxious about this experience.

Anything you see in a dream is not meant to be taken literally. Dreams are where your higher self communicates to you and gives you guidence. Your higher self uses a universal language of symbolism. What is important is to pick out as many details as you can in the dream and then using a dream dictionary you can interpret and figure out what the message is.

Characters, People, etc in a dream usually are meant to represent an aspect of your inner personality that is wanting attention.

Perhaps there is a lesson to be learned with this situation with the guide dog and your higher self is useing this as a means to facilitate growth..

Perhaps I'll meditate on this and see what I'm trying to tell myself. I do agree with you, now that I've calmed down. I'll have to invite him back and see if I can learn more.

It could have been a god, or however you perceive the divine. But it seems that who it is isn't important. You came to find out if Helen would be cared for, and you got that reassurance. I'd trust it if I were in your place.

Exactly this - does it get results, does it fix your problem? If so, who cares if it's a god, a spirit, your Higher Self, or a spicy pizza? ^^ Your purpose is served!

I guess what I'm anxious about is whether it meant she was coming back to me, or if she was going to work as a guide or a police dog.

It's an issue I've been dealing with for quite a while, and I just wish I could have vague idea of what was to come, but then, dreams are meant to tell the future.

Are they? Or are they meant to tell you what is in yourself, or sometimes just to make you wake up and go "whoa...weird. yet so awesome!" ^^
