Hi! I have been wanting to say hello, but I was hesitant. I'm quite shy, but I think I'm ready now.
My name is Rakka. I had been reading Mystic Wicks for many months now for information. It felt like a second home during those times. It had been an insightful journey to read the experiences of others. I have learned so much about myself thanks to this forum and now I feel ready to introduce myself!
I started the pagan path since May. I'm always curious about the occult since I was a teenager and I realized I loved magick as a spiritual way of life. Even though it has been 7 months of intense book reading and researching while surviving a hard life, I still feel new and raw to my path, so I'm going to take my time. I'm definitely into witchcraft, tarot reading, folk magic, and herbal magic. One day, I shall try runes. I enjoy crafting my own spells.
1) Is there a story behind your user I.D./screen name?
Adamantea is one of the epithets I call and praise to my goddess. It means "Unconquerable", an attribute I desire to see in myself.
2) How'd you find us here at Mystic Wicks?
I think through google? I don't remember. :(
3) Do you follow any certain path (spiritually)?
Right now, no. I'm pretty new and I'm not sure what I'm doing, so I'm going to take my time. For a start, I'm dedicated to the goddess Hecate and stick to practical witchcraft.
4) Would you like people to send you a private message saying "hi" if they see your profile and want to get to know you better?
Sure! I would love to meet new friends. Like Hecate, I also desire to help others in a time of transition and transformation. Embrace new changes is very hard. I myself always spiral in and out of depression, but I somehow always get myself out of crisis thanks to the goddess given strength. I'm a little slow when it comes to meeting others, but I definitely would like to talk and meet new friends.
5) Do you use incense, and if you do, do you have a favorite scent?
I'm too broke to buy some and I don't want to freak my mother out. :\ My favorite scent is apples and lavender.
6) How about "totem animals"; is there any certain animal with which you most identify?
Dogs, I guess? I kept dreaming hordes of dogs ever since I accept Hecate in my life. Though lately I keep dreaming of different animals that I don't expect to show up in my dreams. Each animal teach me a different lesson.
7) Is there anything else you think we should know about you, or that you'd like to share?
I live in New York City. :O I attend a community college and am a health allied major. I'm a Sagittarius and my birthday is coming up 6 days. I'm so excited because I'm going to be 22 as a witch! It feels different to be older as a witch somehow.
When I'm not studying my brains out, I enjoy watching anime, reading manga, and writing poetry and fiction.
