I've been sick since friday. It started with slight post nasal drip then I was stuffed up and had a slight sore throat. It's been like that since friday night and I now have a cough/occassional sneezing and what feels like a fever. (have been hot off and on- like hot flashes )
Any healing energy you can send is appreciated along with understanding / take care of your wife energy for my husband. He is a big baby when he's sick but when Im sick he expects me to carry on as usual..
If Im not feeling any better by tonight Im heading to the ER to be checked.

I think my family has a cold, but it sounds like your virus may be the flu. Take care. Sending healing energy to be healthy asap. :hugz:

The sick thing is a man thing. Big babies.
Ask him to bring you home 2 cartons of hot and sour soup. Get out the tissues. Your sinuses will clear. Eat as much of it as you can take. At LEAST one carton. Save the other for tomorrow. Get as many fluids down as you can. Especially tea. Hot with honey, no milk. Honey is amazing food. So much better for you than just using sugar.
WAY better than artificial sweeteners.
There are certain things that really should be kept at home for such emergencies. Make a "sick" box.
For this you need:
LOTS of tissues,
non aspirin pain reliever
throat lozenges
a box of gypsy cold tea
a box of ginger tea(for upset stomach)
a small bottle of honey, never opened
a small box of cold brew tea for icing.[(even hubby can make that)better for your tummy than anything.]
Keep in the house, 2 separate servings of hot and sour soup, frozen.
2 separate servings of leftover chicken soup, frozen.
Chicken and vegetable broth
wide egg noodles
May you feel better fast.
May the hubby learn how to use the sick box.

I'll mention this to him tonight. Hopefully he can go to the store for me and get some of this.. I also lost my thermometer so need to buy a new one..

Where can I get gypsy cold tea? I only found lemon ginger tea. We have a Herbal path store here that i'll have to check out.

I've been dealing with a bad cough mainly from my throat. I have a tickle in my throat and had to take my inhalor a little while ago . Thought I was going to have a full blown asthma attack.

My oldest said something very wise to me "Mom you should keep this (inhalor) on you at all times"

These coughs can develop into bronchitis, even pneumonia. I had asthma for years (when I was living with a smoker) and I was much more likely to develop bronchitis (and walking pneumonia once) when the asthma was still a problem. Take care of yourself, eh?

Yea I've had my share of bronchitis over the years. Im resting as much as possible and drinking lots of fluids. Where we live on a huge steep hill i've had to take my husband into work to get hannah to school.

I told my husband that later when he gets out of work. If im not feeling better or feel worse than I'll have him drop me off at the ER. Im in between doctors because of transfering care. My old said that I transfered care and wont make any appointments for me. The new office doesnt have my records yet.

My husband made me mad this morning. When I told him that I might go to the ER to be seen he said " There goes my night".

It made me so mad, I asked him why he has to act like this to me when all i do is take care of him and his children, wash his clothes, cook his meals and take care of him when he's sick. I stayed by his SIDE for a WEEK straight when he had necrotizing pneumonia, and then went each day after with him to get IV antibiotics in a picc line at the hospital for another 2 WEEKS! I had just had a baby TWO WEEKS prior to him getting sick and missed my appointment to talk about getting my tubes tied so I could get him from the hospital.

It's taking forever for this cold to go away!

I feel better during the day and have had energy to do some housework but by the afternoon/evening Im wiped out . I've been coughing off and on but mainly notice it at night and in the early morning.

I had a bad stomach ache yesterday along with a migraine that made me sick to my stomach. I had to put on makeup this morning to cover up all the broken blood vessels. UGH

I hope I feel better before christmas. My aunt wanted us to go there for christmas dinner but we may have to stay home if were all not feeling better.

I know you're having trouble finding a doctor - but this sounds like it may have turned into bronchitis and it might be a good idea to see the doctor. You need to take care of yourself first so you can take care of Hannah and Vinny, eh?

When to see a doctor

Acute bronchitis usually resolves on its own in a few days. See your doctor if:

Your cough is severe or prevents you from sleeping. Your doctor may recommend prescription cough suppressants to help you rest.
You have a low-grade fever that persists more than three days or a fever higher than 101 F (38.3 C), you're breathless, or you cough up bloody or yellow or green mucus. You may have pneumonia. Discolored mucus usually indicates a bacterial infection, which would respond to antibiotics. You also may have developed a bacterial sinusitis.
Your cough lasts more than three weeks. The inflammation from a chronic infection can lead to asthma in some people.
You have chronic lung or heart problems, including asthma, emphysema or congestive heart failure, and think you may have developed bronchitis. These conditions put you at greater risk of developing complications from bronchial infections.
You have repeated bouts of bronchitis. You may have chronic bronchitis or another serious health condition, such as asthma or bronchiectasis, a stretching of the respiratory passages caused by mucus blockage.
