Hello everyone. (: I am new to these forums and they seem like a really good place to share myself and enjoy community online. I've been looking for such a place for a while now. You can call me Doll.
I'm a Solitary Eclectic Wiccan on the beginning of my spiritual journey and am hoping to find some guidance or even just friendship in fellow pagans. I am currently doing my year and a day with the help of a book by Timothy Roderick. I love to learn and am reading all the books on anything pagan-related I can get my hands on!
I am an autodidact. I'm currently working on getting my GED and plan to then get my Bachelor's Degree, after which I hope to go to the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine to become, well, a naturopath! I believe it is my "calling" to help others and this is one of the ways I want to do it.
I am an open-minded person and I try to be optimistic. I passionately love life although I have my ups and downs like everyone. I am ambitious, friendly, and sometimes stubborn (I'm a Libra, by the way.) I have a lot of hobbies, the biggest of which (at the moment) are teaching myself to play guitar, sewing, reading (a lot!), writing (mostly poetry), photography, learning new things, and many kinds of art and creative things.
That's me - hope this wasn't too long. I'm super excited to be a part of this site and I hope I can make lots of friends here! (: Merry Meet, and Blessed Be!

:welcome: to Mystic Wicks!! :boing:
It's always nice to see another Canadian in here... I'm in Nova Scotia. :D
We do have a thread for Canadians in the A Pagan's Life forum if you would like to say hello and meet the other Canadian members of MW. The link for it is HERE (http://mysticwicks.com/showthread.php?t=83574) if you want to check it out.
Again, welcome to MW, fellow Canadian!! :boing:

Thanks, Cloaked Raven!
This is the first place online I've met anyone else Canadian! I will for sure check out the thread, although maybe not tonight since I'm almost ready to pack it in.
I'm in Ontario. (: I've always wanted to visit Nova Scotia. What's it like there? Do you like it?

You're very welcome. :) Take your time... It's almost 10 p.m. here so I understand. :)
It's very pretty here... We have a rugged coastline and the smell of the sea is amazing!! I have pictures of my area in my one album here, called Beautiful Nova Scotia (http://mysticwicks.com/album.php?albumid=301) if you want to have a look the next time you're in. :)
I like living here... We have very warm summers and somewhat milder winters for the most part. I like how we can travel from the Bay of Fundy to the Atlantic coast in under 2 hours.
Sometimes it can be tough during a winter storm or a hurricane but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. I'm a true Maritimer through and through. :)
I have heard that Ontario is very pretty too... What's it like there?

Wow! I checked out those pictures and it looks wondrous there. I haven't been to a beach in years. ): I too love the smell of the sea. I know it from Newfoundland, where my grandparents live. We used to visit them there every summer.
I love Ontario very much. I live in a very rural area surrounded by farms and fields and forest. I like to travel when I can to see other beautiful places, but somehow nowhere seems as beautiful as here - maybe just because it's home, but who knows. I'll work on getting some pictures up as soon as I can, since my words won't do it justice. (:
P.S.: Thank you for the welcome, Jade Amber. (:

Newfoundland is very amazing. (: The air is very fresh and people there seem to be particularly fond of having lush and beautiful gardens in their backyards (especially my grandfather, who loves to garden). I haven't been there in a long time unfortunately. ):
My camera is charging right now, so I'll get some pictures tomorrow and throw them up, along with some older ones. I'll have to update it as the seasons change - each one is drastically different, after all, and so wonderful in its very own way!
