OW.....
Ma's dragging me along, so I figure I'll make the best of it. (I get popcorn! :D) The last time I was so fidgety by the end of the movie -- besides I had no idea what was going on half the time.
Aaaaaaaaanyway. Yes. If Ma didn't want to see them in theatres, I wouldn't be seeing it either.

I saw it!!!!
Whoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!
There were some writing "issues" I had, but it was still a beautiful movie. I'm going again in a few hours. heh heh heh.
I only saw three people dressed up on line. Last year there was a lot more, maybe later when we go, we'll see a Wizard or two.
Gollum is really funny. He probably shouldn't be, but he is.
The battle scenes, are JUST AWESOME. And May I just add again, that Aragorn/Viggo is a honey!!! So is that Eomer. Yummy. Wished I got to see more of him during the movie.
And dem Nazgul. AWESOME. Just love them.
I won't say anything more. Have fun the rest of you. I thought of you all last nite. In fact, Mol check your cell phone, I left you a message while I was waiting on line!

I saw it Tuesday evening at midnight with a 13 person crew!!! We had a blast even though the damn projector kept eating the film and they had to keep stopping the movie. :( I was pissed, but it was really fun anyway. :)
By the way, I LOVED the movie...the experience was amazing, but the movie was beyond words! :D
I think Radocs is seeing it as I type...;)

*grins broadly*
That was Awesome! :D :D :D
I totally agree with you Starlight about Gollum being funny, our whole audience laughed in places. Plus I think they did a fantastic job making him a sympathetic character in parts, which only highlights his creepiness when he goes from sweet Smeogol to evil Gollum.
*sighs lustfully* What a coruncopia of sexy men! Aragorn, Legolas, Farimer, Eomer, Haldir....and several extras. *chuckles*
And the fight scenes ROCKED! I still get goosebumps when I think of Legolas sliding down the stairs on that Urukai sheild! :D
Couple of parts just made me bawl. :wah2: Most I can't say because it'd give away bits, but Sam's speech at the end was so very cool!!

Yes, I reckon I'll be taking the kids when it comes here.
But really they haven't mentioned it.
I got LOTR (pre-viewed) as a stocking stuffer for the oldest.
See what I learned for you LadyStarlite!? 8O

I played hooky from work today and saw it. :D
It was great!
Sméagol/Gollum was a wonderful character, although he did remind me of Jar Jar Binks a little at the beginning, but I forced that connection out of my mind. ;)
And Legolas *sigh* it's worth the movie for Orlando. :loveduv:

I think that this one really show-cased what Orlando Bloom and Viggo Mortensen can do as actors. They both worked really hard on their stunts, each of them getting hurt. Viggo was nearly killed during filming of one scene.
Helm's Deep, was just incredible. I love the part where Frodo looks up (it's seen on the commericals) and says "They're here." he's sooooooo scary at that moment.
And how about them Dark riders and their new mounts. :D
One of my favorite scenes from the first one is where the 9 leave Barad dur through the gate....well, this time around, my favorite scene is when the Rohirrim first appears they come galloping over the hill while Aragorn, Legalos and Gimili hide behind a rock.
And let us NOT forget Eomer. *sigh* wished he was in the movie JUST a bit more. He's sooooooooo HOT!
going again tommorrow at 10 a.m. with the munchkin, who's been doing homework, chores and cleaning his room so I'll still take him.
Oh for anyone counting, tommorrow will make THREE times. :p

I'm not really into the whole LOTR thing...so I don't really think I'll be seeing the movie unless one of my friends drags me. lol
