They can be charged for a spell or as an amulet against someone else who is casting a spell, so yes. They can also be worn for personal power and thus you might wear one to help you do a spell.

That depends on your tradition or path - in some you wear nothing at all, or white linen, etc. White is thought to be purity and cleansing, and is often used as ritual garb for those reasons. Sometimes black is or purple for their magical correspondences. Some people set aside special clothes for magic so they can "step in" to magical thinking - it's like a little symbol to their subconscious that the magic is to be begun. Others wear normal clothes (I do). What you wear is up to you - if you think it'll help you work spells then it probably will.

The only thing you want to avoid is tight or restrictive clothing, if it restricts your breathing or makes you feel uncomfortable. You don't want your legs to fall asleep or feel your clothing tight against your body when you're trying to concentrate.

Through reading i have read several times, and just in experience in general life, that certain colors will help in certain things. Such as a lighter shade of blue, is commonly represented as tranquil and peaceful... White is a purity and cleansing sort of color, hence why healers wear either that or blue.. I do also think these because they are in line with your chakra centers in your body, certain ones can affect yourself and others
