There are a few things that have been buggin me my whole life, and just recently from reading, first the questions about what i read.
The highest rank of healer in some places is the Druid.. correct?
Also, you cannot attain the highest rank of druid ( an adept shaman and healer and mystic(druid), bard, and warrior) unless you have been taught by an elder..correct?
Also can you attain this highest place if you do not have any background in that area, or very little?
So, can you attain that rank if you have not been taught by an elder, or an "actual" druid( one that has been raised into it), and are not that background? Im believing no.. but, a person like any one of us.. that is not of background ( i have a buncha scottish but no irish) if they study hard and long, somehow study with an elder true druid??
The thing that has been bugging me are things like this.. Knowing that i cannot ever be what i would want to be more than anything else..
At one point a Martial Arts master, i realized i cannot now that i have started at such a late age, and that the studio i go to is closing down
But always, i have wanted to be a master or adept druid/shaman, it seems farfetched like thats going to come easy, but its hard to explain.. Like i have this will to acheive it, but i know its impossible, maybe i will have the knowledge and skills, but will never have been able to have learned from an elder, or been blood related... which dissapoints me greatly =(
*Sigh*

My apologies if this sounds all jumbled up.

ok... first, yes, I do believe that you need to be taught. Now this could be in the form of finding an actual teacher, or you could go somewhere like the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids (http://druidry.org) and sign up for their correspondence course. Or course... you'll need money for that (and I'm saving up for it!).
Now background... how far back are you going? Not that I really think it's majorly important if you really feel that this path is right for you, but you'd most likely have some sort of whatever background you think would be needed if you went back far enough. And I'm talking way, way, way, way, back.
But honestly, don't let things like that get in your way if this is what your aspiring to. From what I've seen, I'll be doing my course and going on to teach others. Something I never dreamed possible before. At least not the teaching part. :T

Or if you wanna wait a bit, we can share the material I get from the OBOD (it's a LOT cheaper if you use someone elses materials)!
