Dry spell...

I've seem to hit a slump. I tried to do a reading the other night & laid the cards out in a spread. Looked at them and nothing. I thought maybe I was just too tired so I tried again another night and still nothing. I just can't seem to concentrate on the cards.

I've had that happen too. I agree with Wtchy, cleanse the cards and yourself. I find that my deck likes a saging and then I lay a chunk of amythest on it for a day or two.

Don't forget to do some nice things to de-stress yourself as well as your deck - long hot baths, an extra hour of sleep if you can squeeze it in - that sort of thing.

You might also make yourself a dream pillow - a little sachet of potent herbs to tuck into your pillow case, to help with the personal cleansing and destressing. I recommend mugwort, lavender, and peppermint if you can get them. If you can't get them, then put a couple of drops of lavender oil in your bath, or - I'm not kidding - a peppermint or chamomile tea bag.

:lol: I think part of it is that I get so excited at this time of year! I have so many little bags of tub teas, bath fizzies & bath salts & stuff that I'm putting together for presents. I think I'll "test" one or two of these. :D

It's funny how you can be so close to a situation & not see the most obvious solutions. I *know* I'm getting another tarot deck this Yule & I just can't wait. I think everytime I look at my cards, I think of that new deck, waiting for me. :D

Your so excited about your new cards that there may be a block of sorts between you and your old cards right now.

I know how that is- I went for about 3 months in a slump early this year. :rolleyes: Meh... Anyway... cleansing=excellent. :D
