Yeah it is, but this was discovered back in the 1920s so while it is amazing it isn't anything new.

The thing itself was discovered. The way it WORKED and what it MEANT weren't understood until quite recently.

There is a really good book by Jo Marchant called "Decoding the Heavens" which tells the intriguing story of the Antikythera Machine. Highly recommendable.
