Hello everyone,
After lurking around here a great deal, I've decided it was time to take off my stranger hat and formerly introduce myself with the ice breaker questions!
1) Is there a story behind your user I.D./screen name?
I wish! When it comes to user names, I'm pretty uncreative. Cko is my initials and something easy for me to remember. (When I branch out to more obscure usernames, I always dislike/grow bored of them later)
2) How'd you find us here at Mystic Wicks?
I was searching for a community of like-minded people who could teach me a thing or two about the multiple Pagan paths and help myself grow into the person I yearn to be for the rest of my life.
3) Do you follow any certain path (spiritually)?
I was baptized and confirmed as a Lutheran when I was younger, but Christianity was never really my religion (I have nothing against Christians as a whole, to each their own, always - but I remember being terrified by the Bible's depiction of God and sin). I've always found myself being extremely drawn to nature and performing little 'rituals' when I was younger to show my appreciation to the earth. Paganism is a relatively new term for me, but I am already finding that a lot of the various subject matter can pertain to what I believe as well. What path I go from here can be anybody's guess :)
4) Would you give me a kidney if I needed it? JUST KIDDING! Only checking to see who's paying attention... lol
If everything checked out and both of mine were healthily functioning at their full potential, SURE! Just don't leave me in a tub of ice next to a telephone!
the real #4) Would you like people to send you a private message saying "hi" if they see your profile and want to get to know you better?
Of course! I am severely lacking in friends. (Hmm, that sounded bad all typed out)
5) Do you use incense, and if you do, do you have a favorite scent?
I haven't in quite a while, but when I have, I always go for the more muskier scents, like patchouli.
6) How about "totem animals"; is there any certain animal with which you most identify?
I've always wondered if a person's totem animals are region specific. There's a few animals I feel strangely close to, like owls, deer, and on a stranger note, badgers (the latter I have never seen in real life)
7) Is there anything else you think we should know about you, or that you'd like to share?
Let's see.. I'm 24 years old (female) and currently reside in the bible belt of Alberta, Canada (OUTSIDER ANGST!). I'm progressing into what I'd like to call a huge shift in my consciousness, which is as exciting as it has been scary.
So that's everything in a nutshell. I'm glad a place like this exists, and I am excited to get to know the lot of you.
