My boyfriend's father was found dead today. The circumstances are not yet clear.

My boyfriend had a troubled relationship with his father (I won't go into detail) and had not seen him for the best part of a year. He says he does not feel the news has sunk in yet, and still seems to be in shock.

If anyone could keep him in their thoughts right now I would be really grateful. Thank you so much.

Iris,

I will keep you, your other half, and his family in my thoughts and prayers. What terrible news for you two! :hugz:

I hope they find out what happened. Please keep us informed if you can.

Peace and blessings to you and yours,
Clair

Well, the postmortem revealed that it was heart failure...police were initially treating it as a possible suspicious death, but now it looks like it was natural causes after all (although I think he was pretty young for a heart attack.)

Now there's some wrangling going on over the will. I think one of the worst things for my BF is that he isn't Next of Kin (he has an older brother) so there's a limited amount he can do...and he's very much a 'doing' kind of person (if that makes any sense).

Please keep him in your thoughts.

Thanks for the update. I will continue to send good thoughts and energy for your boyfriend.

My ex had his first heart attack at the very young age of 40. Even though our family doctor had been our doctor for more than 15 years and knew both of us pretty well, he still suspected that my ex was using drugs because that's the major cause of heart attack in younger men. But the only drug my ex used was tobacco. Even the heart attack couldn't stop him from smoking and he had a major heart attack when he was 50 that killed him instantly. Partly the smoking, partly bad genetics, possibly infection from bad teeth. Fifty is pretty young for a fatal heart attack.
