Hey people,

I'm new here and all and...well, fire_raven insisted that I start a new thread so that "people know I exist." So, hi, I exist, I'm not really anything at the moment, I suppose sort of a mix of Wiccan and Catholic (odd, I know). I suppose I should explain that a little. While I lean more towards Wicca, I'm still in the learning process so I'm not quite full yet, hence me being a mix. I'm looking forward to talking to everyone.

:rotfl: Not odd at all! I'm a "recovered" Catholic......The Blessed Virgin was my first relationship with the Goddess but I didn't know it at the time. A statue that one of my aunts made for my mother graces my permanent altar, which looks more like a Catholic than a pagan one. I always joke that Catholics are well-trained in paganism because we do candles, incense and ritual quite well!

I'm a "recovered" catholic as well...and tonight I'm planning on going to midnight mass with my favorite Elemental Druid and also my favorite Catholic Witch (the latter being my mother)...mostly for the atmosphere. Come on: candles, incense, bells, water, fire, sanctity...that place is holy whether god is there or not! The belief alone makes it holy. Mary still stands watch over me when I'm home for the holidays...in the form of a statue that I've had since I was very very small...she was my first Goddess-symbol, of course. ;)
