Looking for Healing

So I've had chronic/extremely severe depression for the past 7 years of my life. I'm 22 and am growing tired of this. I feel that I need to take control of myelf and find a new method of help. Chemicals never did much for me at all so I want to try the alternative and I've spent too much time in psychotherapy. I've dealt with too many issues in my life and I finally want to be able to rid myself of this negative tie. Since I'm a bit of an psychic and sensitive I figure it might be something spiritual that I'm not pin-pointing. Though I appear very strong and full of joy to many people, it is a lie. Seems like people expect me to be happy so I can help their problems, but when i talk of mine they get angry. Maybe people are psychic vampires... who knows?...:weirdsmil

I've been reading about Reiki and Aura cleansing and would like to find a healer in the Los Angeles area where I live. I just don't know how it works and how many sessions it should take. What's the difference from aura cleansing and reiki healing?

And how do you "cut chords"? Can someone describe this to me? I'm not really sure what it is, but I'm sure it'll disconnect me from people in my past.

Find someone you are drawn to in your area, speak with them and see what kind of plan they want for you in terms of the healing, how often, etc. Most Reiki practitioners can cleanse the aura as well. It is all energy work.

Check out www.reiki.org and see if you can find someone in your area, check them out and go with who you are DRAWN to.

Also, there may be some herbs to help you with the depression thing. Find an herbalist who has knowledge in your area as well.
