View Full Version : Spirits in my Friend's House

My friend thinks she has Spirits or something in her house because she'll see Them every so often. They left her alone for about 2 months but now (On Christmas Eve) she's seeing them again. It's a little girl. She doesn't think they are trying to hurt her, but she's a little scared. Any suggestions for her to talk to them and ask them to leave her alone? Or is that even the proper thing? I mean..what if they were there first? *shrug*

if there is not a need to do something, I would just leave it be. If they need something from her, she will know.

One way to get rid of ghosts is to ask the ghosts out loud to please depart and/or cease their activities. Judging by the stories I receive, this is a remarkably effective way of dealing with the issue.

hmmmm, I don't know. If you were standing on a corner, minding your own business, say waiting for the bus, and had been waiting every day in that same spot for twenty some odd years, how would you like it if someone started coming around telling you what to do and to go away? Respect please. What goes around comes around.

Look, until that ghost is throwing down on the home owners insurence and building a pool deck out back, he can get to steppin.

If Someone came and told me to go away, I would respect thier wishes. but concerning spirits... this is interesting, I mean, I have heard of Poulterguiests and other generally Harmless entities, but a spirit that gets all Mean like that ? ive never heard of it, then again... life is a continuous learning experience :)

I wasn't saying I told her to push them out. I understood that they prob. had been there for awhile. I'll tell her to deal with them, if they aren't hurting her, then it's ok. they just kinda creep her out.

I just wanted to point out Poltergiests are not Spirits. They are energy projections from LIVING people, mostly children and teenagers. Most Spirits will leave if you tell them to "go to God".
Some people are actually ghost magnets.
Remember, if it's not broke, don't fix it LOL!

Our ghost has become a beloved member of the family....... he even has a Christmas Stocking...........We don't put anything in it, but what could a ghost need?:D

We have 4 spirits in the house where I live. One is the late husband of my female room mate, one is her mother, one is someone she gave home health care to back in the 70s and one is a ghost that I believe committed suicide on the property years before her 1st husband bought the property. The first 3 I think are here to give her comfort and protection. The last...well I'm not sure why he's here, but he is. I didn't even know about the suicide until an aquantaince of mine told me about someone who lived here killed themselves back in the 50s.

I disagree on this point, I don't think anyone has proved what a poltergiest actually is, the definition is noisy ghost, so........
also alot of spirits will stick around for entertainment value if you pester them enough.

I think we all understand that, don't worry. We are now just discussing it.:)

Actually no one has proven any of them exist let alone how to define them.
Ghost Hunters (yes I know a few) actually consider Poltergiest as non-spiritual energy.
Poltergiest activity has a different characteristic.
Yes there are noisy ghost (we had one in our house when I was a child). Noisy ghost display other characteristics of spiritual nature. Example -seeing a vision of a person, hearing footsteps, cold spots.
BUT I won't say it's not debateable;)

LoL ok i was about to go "AHHH I'M SORRY!!" but yeah I call it a 'spirit' cause.....I dunno I just felt like it. umm yeah i wouldn't think it was a Poltergeist, because it doesn't really do anything. She said she could hear some whispering at night, but I told her to try and focus on what They were saying so if they needed her she could find out. I personally wouldn't mind a spirit in my house, as long as it didn't try to hurt me. lol i'd prob. consider it my "special friend" anywho thank you all

We have about...4 or 5 ghosts in our house...we had about 6 when we moved in 6 1/2 years ago. They come and go as they please. We only had to get one to leave because it was harming my sister.

We are both amature paranormal investigators, and have seen a lot of weird things in our lifetimes so far. I agree with everyone else..if it isn't causing harm, don't ask it to leave.

Our ghosts have also become almost like part of the family as well...they've been here since we moved in and have helped a lot of times.

As for them creeping her out....tell her to try actually speaking to them and telling them that they are scaring her...9 times out of 10 they will respect that and try not to scare her..at least until she is use to their presence.

I am a ghost hunter myself and do not consider it so, A poltergiest is a differing sort, no doubt about it, but I consider it to be spiritual. I would not call what you describe noisy ghost, I would call that normal haunting.:)

They have a right to their home just as much as the legal owner. The 4th ghost who is here I consider this to be his home and not mine. So as I asked earlier, who would be the intruder? You or the spirit who resides there?

Do you think you could possibly tone the puns and sarcasm down just a tad?? While I love a funny little joke as much as the next person, you are running the risk of looking like a jackass with your continued posts of this nature. All of your posts are laughing at or making fun of something someone else has said. If you are truly trying to be funny...fine, just try to stick to one "funny" post per thread. Otherwise we have an entire forum for all fun all the time...just silly..check it out, you might like it! In many other threads, such as this one, folks are trying to have a serious conversation and quite frankly the strange comments and pics are distracting.

We do have a ghost and I have written about him many times, and I am part Cherokee so there! .........And a good many of us do see, feel, have ghosts, spirits, guardian angels and we konw this because we are open to them. Why? because most of us are pagans or sensitive Christians and this is a Pagan site (mostly)....so...DUH??........

I am for the most part feeling the same way. There is a place and time for certain posts.
