Earlier today, my mother looked up Howard Castle(she's related to whoever built it, her maiden name was Howard) and in one of the pictures, there was a temple called Temple of the 4 Winds. She asked me if I knew if it was Wiccan or not. Which I don't really know. She said it was either Druidic or pagan, but I don't really know. Is anyone familiar with this sort of thing?

I personally think it was known as a rich man's folly (http://encyclopedia2.thefreedictionary.com/folly).

It looks like it was modelled after the truly Pagan Temple of the Winds in Athens, Greece. Compare the image in the first link to this one:

The Temple of the Four Winds is not Wiccan, Pagan or Druidic. The Temple of the Winds is Pagan.

I don't have any more information to offer on the subject. I just need to say that while reading about it,the Tower of the 4 Winds in Athens sprung in my mind. And then odubhain mentioned it. hehe I love the Tower of the 4 Winds, i've walked by it many times. :)
