I want to learn how to communicate with animals. I'm working hard right now to try and clear my chakra's in hopes to open up and be able to hear my cat. However, I've read in a couple of books that sometimes animals may or may not want to speak to their owner. I was wondering if someone could talk to my feline companion Delilah and see if she is feeling open to helping me learn to communicate with her. Any suggestions on how to improve my skills would be apprieciated. Thank you!:D

I know quite a bit about talking to cats, although I'm pretty "deaf" to them myself most of the time. The #1 thing I can tell you for sure is that they always hear you; the trick is hearing them back. And to start, have more confidence in yourself...if Delilah wants to talk with you (and she probably does...most cats love to communicate with their humans and it is often frustrating to them to have to rely only on mime or meow), she will let you know herself.
This may sound like a Catch-22, but you have to be open to her communicating in different ways. Humans and cats have varying levels of "power" and so it's easier for some than others. But if you are calm and are facing Delilah, and ask her your question clearly (speak right out loud, which helps send the message via two channels), she will respond in some way. Clear your mind of desires and make it a blank slate. If you have a thought then, it is likely from her (even if it doesn't "sound" like a "voice").
With practice, you will be able to tell what thoughts are from her, if you're able to communicate that way with her. She may not be able to get through to you this way, so be alert for other behaviors, such as a distinctive head or body movement (that will be repeated as you ask her more questions). One of my cat friends lightly held my finger in her mouth when she meant "yes".
Oh, and...don't be discouraged if she doesn't sit at attention while she's talking to you. Cats are quite adept at telepathy and will often walk around, clean themselves, etc. while communicating (if they're sleeping, though, then why are you trying to talk to them in the first place?). Just pretend you're talking to a texting teenager :-)

I don't know if this would help you any, but a local HPS I study under has several cats, and she says they often leave her messages in their cat food. Apparently, one of their favorite symbols is the Spiderman face, though she has yet to figure out what that particular symbol means.
