Well today I'm going to take my driving test! I'm a bit nervous and it was just kind of sprung up on me. Please help by sending me any support you can starting now! BTW yes I am 26. Its a long story and not an interesting one but I'm finally going!!! For you young girls, don't get out of highschool without learning, even if you don't get your own car. Its probably the one thing I regret not doing. It doesn't get any easier the older you get.

Thank you in advance! I have to go now!

Good Luck and Tell us how it goes... I didn't get my license until I turned 21... I just couldn't ever find the time even though I learned how to drive when I was 16.

Thanks again guys but it didn't go too well. I got your typical unhappy state employee. She made me so nervous I seriously goofed up. And all she could do was give me this "tut, tut" sort of look/voice. Oh well life goes on. I'm sure it'll be better next time. Maybe I can get the other guy. I heard some people saying he was very nice.

I'm sure you will do great the next time. Don't feel too bad, I knew a guy who failed three times before he got his license.

From what I've seen it takes most folks more than one attempt to pass. But most of them never admit it, so don't feel bad. Chalk this go round up as just one more lesson on the path to passing.
You can do it! You've got all of us guys rooting for you!

keep after it sahm, i've got so many miles behind me i've forgotten what the road test was like. you'll make it, try meditating while waiting for your appointment, anything that will put you in a calm state as you enter the test car, (except a couple of beers) will be a plus. what gets most people is not lack of knowledge or skill but nerves that lead them to simple mistakes though having a civil service dragon as an inspector does not help.

Dont sweat it too much SAHM. I Can relate what you're going through--I'm 24 and I dont have a license either. I've heard there is life outside driving! :)

Thanks guys! :D I got so nervous I couldn't even make a smooth stop! 8O Oh well, I'll do it again after a while. Waiting so long to drive has been my biggest regret. When you're 16 - 18 you have no worries, except for the regular teenage ones, and you're never going to die, so you're pretty much fearless. Now, I've seen too much crazy $&^* out there. I 've only driven on the freeway in the middle of the night, in the middle of nowhere. They say Dallas is being compared to LA, in traffic situations more and more. Theres good reasons for it. Fortunately though I live just about in the middle of nowhere and moving out farther soon so I won't have to battle the mixmaster anytime soon.

I did it late too. You'll do fine next time if you just relax try meditating before you go. Positive energy equals positive action.:D
