I have been a student of life and nature long enough to know that, as soon as you confine something within the boundaries of a label then it is destined to evolve and change. Therefore, after my introduction post, I became uneasy about the labels that I placed upon myself. Green/ Kitchen.... I was raised in the Applachian Mountains.... what the hey.. I'm still here. I am the granddaughter of two amazing mountain women... one a Midwife/ Healer and the other a Cherokee, strong in lore and traditional medicine.
I do so enjoy reading your posts and threads... but must admit to being cluess to the diverse Gods/ Goddess and the realm of High Magick. I was fed on the traditions of these Mountains... taught to plant, harvest, preserve and can with the moon.... instructed that the best pharmacy is out of doors.. and free.. waiting to be harvested. It was as natural to give thanks to the Mother Earth as to the Creator. Poppets, Salves, Charms and Tinctures are in my realm... my asthame is an Old Henry pocket knife that belonged to my Father, it lives in a pocket sewn onto the side of an old grain sack ( which I have sewn a strap upon an use to gather my herbs and barks ..etc) What does this make me.... do I need a label...No, but it sure helps. Any adivse on deciphering the chasm of Pagan Titles and Paths?
