hey, lady Rain here

I haven't been around in a while going to art school and something crossed my attention since I live in NYC and go to school there, Art in public spaces and the cause for concern. A student from my school placed black box's with the word fear on them for a class assignment trying to engage the public and get a psychological responce. Well I think he did a great job and its a constitutional right to free speach, and expression. My opinion he should of made a lettered statement of what it meant before placeing the pieces in the Union Square subway station. He got arrested for a no good reason, yeah there is terror every where we look but why should that now affect our rights, it should push the envelope farther to what our true meaning of free is.

As a pagan living in a society that puts me down and typically calls me an artist because I am different and a pagan makes me mad but feeling good at the same time. I; in the future am going to make pagan related art pieces that will not blow it up in a negative way but push the practice farther in society because its a beautiful practice and spiritual path I think more people should look into. Strength is the path to a better future so mote it be, Happy New Year and have a safe journey through life, Lady Rain

I agree, I was watching the rose bowl parade, or what ever its called. I saw a float in the parade that was about Jesus and his death, I thought, would they allow a pagan to enter a yule float? or even a wheel of the year float? I'd love to see more pagan art out there!

I'll have to look into how you get involved with all of that stuff, I'll try to locate information, if anyone else knows anything you can post here or pm me. All the help would be appreciated, most of the floats in the rose parade take months to complete!

I agree. It would be fabulous to have a pagain-themed float in a parade. :)

I'm not sure what else I could do, but will be looking for sites on info.

Hey,

Yeah I am happy with the float suggestion, You see I work in a gallery in Brooklyn Ny and hopefully in the future I can have an exhibition of pagan art there. I cross my fingures with that because its a difficult thing to do, as for the floats, I would say a hug tarot card the wheel of futune, with the Moon light hitting the trees with a circle of a coven blessing people all over, just a vision but I guess we all can come up with interesting ideas. I am happy that my artist pagan community can try to reach out and help the spread of truth and nature and how the earth really works instead of people spreading the word ofthin air which I call god.

Hopefully we as a pagan and artist communtiy can reach out and share all that paganism has to offer the spiritual opened and believers in truth!

Write back I am happy to here and read all comments and crits

blessed be Lady Rain
