Is there a consistent theme or consistent images present in these dreams? Have you taken any new kind of medication in this time? (You would be surprised at how even antibiotics now can cause mood swings and dream disturbances) Anything really stressful happened in your life or currently that might be trying to work itself out? It is hard to offer any suggestions when you are so vague....

I think it's time for you to sit down and analyze your dream. There are lesson threads in divination for that I believe. Write down the people, environments, and feelings involved. Check dream dictionaries but more importantly examine your own feelings about the dreams and things going on in them.

If the dream's repeating it has a message.

Beyond that, ground and center yourself before bed, and surround yourself in white light. Start saying affirmations as you lay down, and consider making a dream pillow or amulet against nightmares. I actually get the same problem sometimes so I have a reiki'd amulet to wear to bed. There should be threads on ways to do these things as well.

Raeven has an excellent idea, and just let me ask, what are you reading right now? Because I have scary dreams whenever I am reading a scary book.:D

I would be hard pressed to add to what Raevyn and Greta have said. The only thing I could say is that, with me at least, when analyzing dreams I find it helpful to pull tarot cards that represent the people and situations in them and contemplate them.

:) I'm glad to hear about the dreamcatcher, since that's one of their purposes. I don't think I know anyone who has actually used one to ward off bad dreams and it's good to know that it worked for you!

what kind of spell work were you doing at the time right before when the dreams started mabye you pissed off an extra-wordly critter of some kind or do you have any other pagan/wiccan friends that you may have pissed off? Other than that I don thave much in the way of what to say and do about it.

Funny thing , that. I guess when I am writing since I have an outlet for all the "scaries", I don't have bad dreams. BUT the storyline you are referring to did come about because of a very nasty dream I had about a year before I started writing it. Didn't you have bad dreams when you read it? Maybe it does not scare me because, I dunno, I guess because it is mine, if that makes any sense.:)

Tellin Windglimmer, I don't have much to add because all of the advices given to you are great!

I would only like to emphasize the fact that you need to think and understand what your dreams are trying to tell.. I belive that you are the only one that can do that..

Often times nighmares come from our unconscious, from something that has happened in the past and is forgotten by our conscious but is still living inside of you..

And when you try understanding your dreams, I would suggest you not to think of obvious conslusions that you can draw from them, but rather focus on symbols (i.e. Vamires) and what they represent to you.. Because often times nightmares (even though scarry) might be the cariers of the "non-scary" message..
