Although I have been wandering around for the last couple years with a most basic understanding of paganism (in general) I would like to expand upon that knowledge and focus on a more specific path.

That being said, my main focuses are in both celtic and native american roots.

If anyone would be able to guide/mentor/teach me in these ways, that would be greatly appreciated. There isn't anyone that I know of that follows either tradition and as I said, I want to find some solid foundation to build my spirituality on.

I'm not entirely sure this is in the right place, but if it's not, please let me know where I need to post this to be most effective. Thanks

I hope you find the right person <3

I know of a native american shaman who does vision quests and sweat lodges (inipi ceremonies) for those who want to experience those things. He works in California though. I can send you his contact information. Maybe he could offer some insight on where to start? He is part of the Lakota tribe. I've been going to his inipi ceremonies for three years now. He was trained by his grandfather ever since he was born.

That's the only person who comes to mind that I know of.

I can try to offer you some help with the Native-American work. I'm not an expert by any means, nor do I really have formal knowledge. I've been taught how to lead and participate in Shamanic journeys, and I can certainly help you with those or any such specific questions until you find a proper mentor.

Please forgive a moment of horn-tooting...
The Druidic Pagan group I work with, ADF, offers a basic training program that includes learning basics of home-shrine work, Celtic and related cultural lore, simple meditation and worship. We're multi-cultural, but there's lots of support for Celtic stuff (not so much for north american indigenous ways). We actually offer assigned mentors for our Dedicant's Path, within the limits of our volunteer system.
