I've just recently started using tarot decks. The first deck i bought was ted andrew's animal communication deck. the only problem i was finding with it is that he changed the names. For example, instead of cups, swords etc. He's changed it to; four-legged, shapeshifters, ancients. I was getting confused when trying to transfer the information i was reading online to my deck. I've just recently bought another deck called Mystic Dreamer tarot deck. I've only learned how to do two spreads so far. The daily indicator card and a three card spread (past, present, and future). I only really have one big question looming over me and that's the out come of my "court" situation. I want to ask it every day but i know that'll drive me crazy. I was wondering what other questions can I ask my deck for practice. What questions do you like to ask or what other spread is your favorite?

Hmm, asking about the same thing every day may get tricky for you. Every deck is different, but I've heard to ask the same thing constantly isn't good. It may be okay to do something on court like every week or month, and general readings for yourself and see if the cards and the influences over the cards want to show you about court.
honestly, I think just going by traditional meanings ruins the effectiveness of cards. It may be neat that you have a deck that isn't traditional, and may even aid your intuition.

the animal deck is nice for my 2 yr old. when doing our daily indicator card she looks forward to seeing what animal we will draw and what that means for our day.

I always recommend that you not ask the same question of your deck until something changes in your situation. So, if you have already asked, then wait until you receive some sort of communication about your situation (from the court or the other parties involved). If you ask too often, your readings will become muddled & stop making sense.

I like to use a spread at the beginning of the week to see what might be coming up. I usually just use 3 cards: Goal Obstacle Advice
But there are MANY spreads you can use for practice. Try checking out the Tarot Spreads FAQ for a few to try.

The best way to learn a new deck is sometimes just draw one card a day... look at the card and write down everything you see in the card.....
Then meditate with it.....see what the card says to you...
then look at the meaning in the book and write down what you feel is right inregards to y9ur question.......
Do this for a month.... then just do three card spread...
for the day...... tying the three cards together in a story about the day.....writing down what you first see then meditate then the book meanings that feel right for you.......
after one month try a five card spread......for a week spread...... continue your daily spreads... also......
this should get you started.......
Questions.....
should never be continued to be asked...... if you continue to ask the same question then the answers are not getting through to you.....
so you are not making changes within your life...
Change the question each time you do a spread....
eg.... Topic could be Love- is this self love or love of another...
career- about your current work or the possibiltiy of future work.
Wealth- in which area of life is this applicable?
Spiritual Journey- in which path should you take?
check out different books, threads on here which share different spreadds you can try...........
Journal everything you do with this deck,...... in no time you will find your intuition will kick in with this deck....
have fun...
