A few nights ago, I had a dream about a volcano Goddess. She described herself as being, "A mother and a nurturer, but also very wrathful and veangeful"

I know many would say Pele...but this Goddess didn't take human form...she was the volcano itself, with glaring red lava pouring forth into the sea. There was a face etched onto the volcano, however...I also remember I spelled out her name.

Does anyone here know of any volcano Goddesses besides Pele? I'm looking as well, and maybe it'll match the description! :D

I can't think of her name but when I was doing research on Krakatoa and the Sundra Straights I came across a female diety that was in that area associated with the violent eruptions that take place there.

It's been a while since I did that research so I may not be recalling it comptely or correctly but it might be a place to start. I vaguely recall her being Javanesse (Island of Java is part of the Sundra Straights).

That's very interesting. I've been looking things up, but no name yet. I remember it being a very long name in my dream...hard to spell and pronounce.

Do you know if the volcano you saw actually exists IRL?
Many Volcanoes have deities or spirits associated with them specifically (as opposed to the deity being associated with volcanoes generally) and that could be a starting point.

Not really sure. I can't remember much. I'm trying to. I'll let you know if I can remember.

I should add, just in case:

Is there any chance this was just a dream, nothing more, based on all the current events related to volcanoes?
The name of the volcano in iceland is Eyjafjallajokull (no, I didn't just button mash ;)).

I'm not saying that what you saw wasn't real, I'm just making sure that these things are taken into account!

Here's link link with South-eastern Aisa gods / goddesses which would cover Jave, Bali, Indonesia etc.

The other thing is you may also want to look at underworld goddesses for consideration.
