So I learned a lesson from Hades and The Fates whom I recently worked with for a prayer. It led me to learn that I mustn't practice spellcraft anymore, but I should practice prayer to the gods.

I always have this method of ritual that if I want to petition to Underworld gods that first I must speak to Hades for granting prayer to an Underworld deity. Lately, I've been called by the Sisters of Fate probably because I've been learning tailoring. So I prayed to them for something that has solely been bothering me these past few months and they astonishingly granted me my prayer.

This wasn't any spellcraft I've ever done. It was a prayer. I was hopeless and I didn't call for their power. I surrendered my Will to theirs. Though the result may be selfish, I feel they tought me something. Sometimes I might act higher than Gods by using the "Will" i've learned from ceremonial magick; however, this tought me that I am small. I feel as though I should make patronage to Hades and the Fates. They've tought me well. But that's the Underworld, it makes heroes out of the ignorant and arrogant.

Spiritual lesson well tought!

Any advice on further steps I should take? Offerings to the Fates and Hades maybe? How should I do this?

Howdy neighbor! :flag93: (Why don't we have a flag here specifically for the I.E.? Maybe this would do? :flag15: :smileroll )

What you described sounds exactly like the method I've found to be the most effective too. Prayer, and then surrender to their will. I've tried forcing things through often enough, whether through magickal or mundane means. It seems though that things are better left in Their hands!

No advice on how to honor the Fates. I've never considered asking them for anything. Hades is cool. I'm more comfortable with Persephone though when it comes to dealing with things down there.

Funny thing is whenever I ask Hades for descent to the Underworld I always mention Persephone and how she travels up and down for the seasons. But I feel an affinity with Hades, I'm closer to him than his other brothers.

But of course, treating gods like higher powers is, in a sense, respectful as well. I think they would get offended when I used to treat them as thoughtforms and sources of power for my own gain.

Ah yes! inland empire should replace the flag, but that's all of Southern California! :D

Lol.

It's amazing how quickly though they quit being offended, when we listen to what they have to teach us about themselves, and adjust our behaviour accordingly!
