I've come across some interesting information on the Divine Feminine in Islam. Would anyone care if I shared the links? Or would be better off the in the monotheism section?

I'm not Muslim, and I'm not sure where it should go (although, I'd probably suggest the Abrahamics forum, as that's where Islam, and Islamic-related stuff goes, I think?), but, I definitely would love to see those resources, I'd love to learn a lot more about that.

My only hesitation is that some of the links are polythestic/pagan in nature, and I am worried about offending somone, or providing wrong information to someone just looking.

Frankly, I've always thought those who follow the Islamic faith just look at women as possessions with no value beyond the children they can produce. That sounds awful, I know but I'm a product of my culture and images of women being decapitated for defying a man or stoned to death for not wearing a burkha kind of sticks with you.

?

Someone just looking at what? This is a pagan forum with paths for everything under the sun.

If it's the wrong information then I'd wonder why you'd mention it at all, plus the fact that most here are capable of recognizing material that's incorrect.

Just post them.

Okay, I will. I was just thinking that some of them are polythestic links, and are not mainstream Islamic viewpoints. I will get the list formatted and post them.

Well, if you're in fear of possible retribution, you can always format the list and send them to the posters interested via PMs.

I'll definitely be looking forward to them. Don't worry too much about offending people, I'm sure if it's meant to be somewhere else, a Forum Guide, or admin, can move it to somewhere more appropriate. I don't think anyone will blame you.

Anyway, I can't wait to read them :).

I'll try to get the links reformatted as soon as I can. I've been eaten alive by grad school decisions, and dealing with computer problems, so I haven't been here in a while. Sorry about this! I will get to them as soon as I can, I swear!

I have one if anyone is interested it covers the Christian/Hebrew goddess and also Muslim. I found it exhilerating and affirming when I was called back (to Christianity) and refused to go without my Goddess. There are a few other minor issues I am working on with the Christo-pagan thing but I am getting there and I loved this site. Hope it is helpful.

Interesting page. I really don't care for that site, however. The thing that I hate, is that you have to pay to get the "secret teachings of Jesus" in their Mystery School. It's $25 a month, which equals $300 a year! That is crazy! Did Jesus charge for his teachings? No! Sorry if I come off really strong sounding, but I really think that that is wrong to charge that much money. I know they have to run the school, and do record keeping for ordinations and all, but seriously? Bandwidth is cheap. It seems like a lot for an online class, where you log into a website. And it would seem weird to be an ordained minister of a church where you could not tell people about the teachings...

Oh sure. But I liked the info on the site. There was a lot of information to be found whether or not you become a Mystery School Student is entirely up to you but you know pastors and priests and other ordained ministers with congregations get a salary so do other teachers. What does a highschool parent pay for school fees? and what about colledge or university? what about a bible colledge or a private Christian school. It is all how you look at it.

And thanks for the other link. :)
