(http://www.tvguide.com/celebrities/laura-bush/251741?rss=keywords&partnerid=foxnews&profileid=celebs)Laura Bush (http://www.tvguide.com/celebrities/laura-bush/251741?rss=keywords&partnerid=foxnews&profileid=celebs) says she supports gay marriage and a woman's right to choose, and thinks a law allowing the former "will come" in due time.

"I think there are a lot of people who have trouble coming to terms with that because they see marriage as traditionally between a man and a woman," Bush told Larry King (http://www.tvguide.com/celebrities/larry-king/198685?rss=keywords&partnerid=foxnews&profileid=celebs) on his show (http://www.tvguide.com/tvshows/larry-king-live/202593?rss=keywords&partnerid=foxnews&profileid=celebs) Tuesday. "But I also know that ... when couples are committed to each other and love each other that they ought to have, I think, the same sort of rights that everyone has."

Good for her. John McCain's wife and daughter also support same-sex marriage, as they both took part in the "No H8" campaign against Prop 8. It's too bad there haven't been any female presidents of the USA yet, since even the conservative ones seem to be more open-minded than their husbands/fathers.

Palin? Coulter? Dole? Heck, even Hillary is quite a bit more conservative and close-minded than Bill ever was (only one of them has repeatedly called for media censorship, for instance).

Think about it--if you were a woman married to Dubya, wouldn't you be inclined to favorably view abortion and same-sex marriages?

That's true, I don't know how I could forget about such entertaining/scary ladies. I think they're on the extreme end, though.

Gods man! I was going to bring her up in the discussion of "Social Conservatism" on another thread, and then I forgot. Talk about a perfect example of Fiscal Liberal/Social Conservative.

Maybe if McCain's wife had run, the Republicans would have won!.

I'm pleased about this, I wonder what her husband thinks, though (although, he may not understand).
