Hi,
I'm not sure how to proceed, so I guess I'll just jump in. I just recently (over Christmas break) admitted to myself out loud that I am, and have always been, a pagan. By always, I mean that's the direction my heart and intuition have always leaned, even when I was a little kid and got into arugments with the Sunday School teacher about whether animals have souls. Anyway, after wandering around for years in various eastern religions (which aren't as frightening to my Christian family as paganism) I've decided to get honest with myself. I've also been chronically ill for about three years and have recently realized that the illness is borne out of dishonesty and resentment. So, I'm trying to find my way. I'd appreciate any suggestions for reading material or other web sites. I live in Lake Charles, Louisiana which is pretty conservative. I doubt there's much of a pagan community here, but I'm a couple of hours from Houston and three from New Orleans, so if anyone knows of seminars or festivals or anything that a "newbie" could benefit from, I'd appreciate the suggestions. Thanks for letting me ramble.
