Hi every peoples! My name is Amber and I'm getting back into the Pagan community after a long self-imposed hiatus. I was raised in an environment that exposed me to hardcore Pentecostals (ie: most of my mom's side of the family), First Nations/Indigenous spirituality (I'm a registered Southern Piegan Blackfoot or Aamsskapipikani in my language) and Unitarian Universalism.
I have an intense passion for other cultures and ways of finding Creator. I consider myself Kemetic though I currently have no temple or house affiliations (though I'm pretty confident that I'm going to be joining the House of Netjer in the near future). I'm very interested in Eastern religions, especially Zen Buddhism and Hinduism. I especially find Hanuman's devotion to Ram and Sita very inspiring and moving.
On the non-religious side, I like anthropology and sociology. My friends call me a fount of useless and obscure knowledge. I know a little about a lot of stuff and I'd totally make a killing on Cash Cab. I like to draw and paint, I used to play keyboard and backups in a band and I'm an avid writer working on my first novel.
I'm currently located in the Bay Area of California, but after eight years of living here, I'm relocating back to the DC Metro Area in August. I'm excited to get to know people here and I'm happy to get back into a sense of spiritual community =)
