This year, I've only got wormwood, yarrow, and catnip. I dug up my valerian roots last fall and forgot to plant new ones. :smileroll

I love Gardens!!! Ive been working hard on mine for almost a year now. I started with some basics. Rosemary, oregano, parsley, mint, catnip, henbane, marjoram, thyme, sage, angelica, bay, dill, and basil. Then I moved on to some more specifics to my druidic path. Betony, holly, bilberry, pulsatilla, lady's mantle, primrose, eyebright, foxglove and blue vervain. After I had my basics I decided to add a few more to attract faries. Specifically aster, chrysanthemum, achillea, agastache, lavender, summer lilac, some petunias and verbena.

I think I have a few more but I cant remember them off the top of my head.

Some of them have been very easy and others have given me headaches but all in all things are starting to mesh. It took me a bit to learn what I needed about growing each one and finding its placement in the garden that seemed to flow with the energy but I think I finally have it. Now I just need to figure out how to keep the south Texas sun from destroying all my hard work over this summer.

Ill try to take some pictures later and post them. I wish I could figure out a way to take one from above as I have it all planned out very specifically in a triple spiral pattern and one of my alters is at the center but its hard to see unless your walking through it... maybe if I stand on my roof? Anyhow Ill see what I can do.

I only have a few this year, and most are just the basic herbs. Rosemary, Lavender, Dragon's Blood, Tarragon, Yarrow, Thyme, Mint, Sage, Eucalyptus, and a little daisy just because it was pretty. All of those are circling my first apple tree! I'm going to be so sad next year when I head off to college and can't have my garden.... :sniffsnif

I know exactly how you feel. I had been working on my own garden/grove for years and then moved away and had to leave it all behind. I was crushed for a while. Im so happy to have started a new one.

I have just started my own little herb garden out on the patio. I've got coriander, thyme, basil, oregano, dill, parsley, mint, chives, lavender and rosemary. The lavender and rosemary were aready growing when I moved in here and are well established so i'm lucky there, they rest ive done myself.

I've als started growing a few veggies, i've got a tomato plant, a chilli plant and a pepper plant. I want to grow potatoes, carrots and peas too but I think i'll wait till next year.

Ooh and i've got a little sunflower (not a herb I know) and i'm gonna harvest all the seeds and plant loads for next year!

I love my garden, it's my little piece of sancturay and calm. I'm lucky in having quite a big garden. I did have a little herb garden a couple years back but then we had a change around and I lost that, so this is the first year I've had the space to set up another one, and this time I've given me some more room for the herbs. I've only just started it in the last couple of weeks and so far I've got 3 thymes (orange, lemon and common), garden mint, parsley, chives) next on my list to get is basil, sage, rosemary. I've got lavender and other scented herbs in the top half of the garden with the flowering plants. My new herb garden is in the bottom half, along with the veg and fruit areas, most of the ground is given over to fruit at the bottom with apple, cherry, greengage, peach and pear trees, red, white and black currants, gooseberries, blueberries, blackberries, tayberries, jostaberries, rhubarb. It's coming up to the berry picking season so got a few busy weeks ahead of picking and making pies for the freezer.

I love my little garden! I'm so proud of it! :)
I started it from seeds and they're doing so well. It's been a huge learning curve for me.

Currently I have the most common, Thyme, Lavender, Catnip, Basil, Sage, Parsley, Oregano, Stevia, Chamomile, Tarragon, Rosemary, Mint and then Moonflower for fun.

I really would LOVE to get a hold of some more. I could never find lemon grass.

Mmmmm.... Lemon grass. I absolutely LOVE Lemon Grass, my great grandmother got me hooked on the stuff when she taught me how to make soap. I so have the urge to go look for it now. :hahugh:
