Hm, I'm a bit confused - what kind of information are you looking for? What do you need help with?
When you say "I need info on inscribing spells" I immediately think "uhh.. you just.. inscribe.. the spell...?". Do you mean what to inscribe on, what languages to inscribe in, or..?

*nods* Yes, could you explain a bit more in detail? What immediately comes to mind for me are spells such as rune charms. You can find those in the Practical Rune Magick stuck thread. There are also bindrunes that can be inscribed into pieces of clay, painted on jewelry, etc. and you can carve symbols into candles.
*light bulb turns on* You did just give me an idea for a new thread :D

As far as inscribing goes, you need to match your tools to your surface, and this is really something that would go under the Arts & Crafts forum ...
For candles, I find that just using a ballpoint pen or a stylus or even an orangewood manicure stick works well for inscribing runes and symbols. Likewise for clay before you bake it.
For wood, those narrow gouges used for wood block carving work well. Or a wood carving knife if you know how to use one without cutting yourself (I don't).
For metal and glass, try a Dremel rotary tool with an appropriate tip (I use diamond on glass; never tried it on metal, but it seems a diamond or carbide tip should work on metal). They make a little hand tool with a diamond tip which you can use to scratch your design in glass, but that takes a while, the Dremel is much faster. There's a professional rotary tool with a very fast rotation speed which also works on wood, glass or metal.
You can also "inscribe" using paints, inks, or enamels on the right surfaces.

sorry... Ive only heard by the name "inscribing" by that it means the process of infusing an item of some sort with spells that sink in and kind of hold theyre aslond as the artifact remains unbroken.
I know plenty enough about engraving runes to do some things with that but this... Im clueless. Ill see if Its has any other names.

I hate to use this as an example, but I recently saw The Mummy and there were several items that had inscribed spells that were released when the items were unearthed.....is this more what you mean? Possibly you could find information in Egyptian mythology or history.
Inscribing a candle or rune to make a talisman is actually quite similar. Inscribing symbols in a candle release the spell as the candle burns, and a rune charm would continue to have that energy as long as the talisman was needed.

Im talking about spells that are activated when an Item is used... say for instance a statue that sets up a protection spell if you cast a circle or a sword that wouldnt let you cut yourself.... invoked by the use for wich the item was intended. It be also by the name enchanting though I thought this a differrant subject.

You really don't have to inscribe anything into an item to have it perform a specific purpose. You can simply charge the item with the intended energy. Inscribing any magickal item with symbols or spells is a matter of personal preference and practice.
I'll see if I can find the thread on charging magickal tools and bump it up for you. There might even be some info on inscribing in the thread.
