Dress, that is. I've just been invited to a local group's Pagan Ball...to be held TOMORROW NIGHT. The theme is The Enchanted Forest, and there will be lots of faeries and dragons and unicorns running around, I imagine. Also, a band called Peaches and Kings will be playing.

So, I have a pair of wings that hubby made me for the Ren Faire a few years ago, all snowy white and gold, the wings themselves are kind of lacey. I want to wear these, but I was wondering what else....I mean, I need more than just wings and boots! So hubby suggested my wedding dress.

So, a thought popped into my head...being kind of close to Imbolc, I could wear it to honor Brighid..."The Maiden is honored, as the Bride, on this Sabbat." Granted, I'm no maiden (in my mother stage now!). Would you think it inappropriate to emulate Brighid?

Oh, I couldn't decide which forum to post, and this one has posts for Imbolc and "what do you wear?" so I hope that's okay.

...I think the Rituals forum would be the proper place to discuss the Pagan Ball... :D

Ya know... I'd be hard pressed to think of anything that'd be too terribly inappropriate to wear to a Pagan Ball... and I don't have the world's greatest fashion sense... but I don't see anything wrong with what you've described...

However, if you decide to go with just the wings & boots, could ya PM me with directions to the shindig? :T

DOWN, Boy...........:eyebrow:

FaeRain, I think that's very appropriate if it's what you feel comfortable in

....I'm not sure why, but I personally would have reservations about wearing my wedding dress to anything other than my wedding, but I guess attitudes have really changed......when we did the poll about which dress I should get for our handfasting, the people who liked the Irish gown kept saying I could wear it again. I'm really not sure that I will do that.
