Okay, here's a bit of out of control hate. I'm going to copy and past the whole article so that you don't get your brain attacked by the now Buddhist racists (trying to keep the board pure).

LOS ANGELES – The U.S. Justice Department (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100913/ap_on_re_us/us_religious_discrimination_lawsuit#) has filed a religious discrimination lawsuit against the Southern California city of Walnut, claiming it unfairly denied a permit to a group seeking to build and run a Buddhist center.

The lawsuit filed Monday in Los Angeles seeks a court order (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100913/ap_on_re_us/us_religious_discrimination_lawsuit#) saying the city violated federal law and an injunction to prohibit Walnut officials from discriminating against the Chung Tai Zen Center and other religious organizations.

Federal officials say Walnut denied the center's application in January 2008 and had not done that to any other religious group that sought a conditional use permit since at least 1980.

The city manager did not immediately return a phone message.

Okay, I understand that people don't want a mosque near them but give me a break on the Buddhists. They've done nothing wrong, they don't want to take over this country, and their not violent. But I guess that these haters in Cal can't tell the dang difference. Ooh watch out everyone, scary bald-headed men coming to take over America. Give me a break people and give me a break with your dang hate.

It only started with the Muslims. The intolerant won't be happy until their religion is the only religion.

I think the article shows that cities think they have control over other people's lives. The group owned the land but they allowed a church to extend their building. One other reason that I didn't post the link is because the comments on Yahoo really got me mad. One moron stated that the city has the right to deny a permit to any group that might be deemed dangerous.

WTF! Buddhists aren't dangerous people and for everyone's 411 I've been reading about Muslims. I know that since I'm going to be specializing in Egyptology, which includes being around Muslims all the time, that I better understand their religion. It amazes me that these people will stop what their doing and pray five times a day. Dedication people!

Anyway back to what I was saying. All this Muslim hate has now trickled down to everyone else. Soon these cities will be doing it to the Jews but where will the protesters be? They will be no where as their so wrapped up in their Muslim hate to see the truth. Christians want to get rid of the melting pot and that will includes Jews, anyone that doesn't believe in their version of God, Muslims, and anyone else that they hate.

It is very unfortunate that this situation has occurred and that so many people are ill informed about Buddhism. The wheel of Karma will turn.
Even though it is very honourable that people are so passionate about this issue and want justice, it is important to remember that Buddhism teaches tolerance. Even of people who don’t like us. And at the end of the day we Buddhists don’t need a temple to be Buddhists and follow the Dharma.

Hatred does not end with hatred. Hatred ends with non-hatred.

They are being sued, and that will clear things up. It should also ripple across the country and make it clear to other cities that they cannot dictate what faiths are allowed in their borders.

America is a nation of laws, and that is what is most important. The fact of this is that it shows a disturbing trend of religious discrimination growing in a country which has legally and repeatedly stated that it is not a nation founded in Christianity.

We claim to be secular... we should start acting like it.

Oh I agree with you, Kraheera. I'm not even a Buddhist but that doesn't mean that I can't be spitting mad. I tell this to people: Leave other people's religions alone even if some of them don't like you.
