I was wondering what types of things people do for esbats. I am trying to get some ideas.

We keep Esbats simple at our house. If the weather's good, we'll just go sit outside and soak up some good moon energy. If the weather's bad, we sit under the skylights in the bedroom and do the same. And while we do that, we talk about things we would like to bring into our lives between the Full Moon and the New.

This past year, we named all the Full Moons according to things going on in the natural world at each moon. So now they're all coming around again, and we're trying to do something specific to each moon as it comes. So on the Raspberry Moon, we ate raspberry sherbet and talked about "wild tenacity", which is what we associate with raspberries (if you saw the bramble in our yard, you'd agree). And on the Phlox Moon we picked some phlox and brought it inside and talked about how we would be open to beautiful surprises in our lives (we did not plant the phlox. The previous owner did not plant the phlox. It's just there - a beautiful surprise).

But, yeah. It usually doesn't take more than about 20 minutes; just a pause to acknowledge the moment.

Have you tried searching for a particular holiday or season on this site? We've been around for 10 years, there's a ton of information available, particularly here in the new pagans forum and in the magick and rituals section.
