Voices in my head

Ok before you call the guys with the white coats and rubber room for me, please hear me out. :)

I was doing a ritual and I had written down an invokation I had wanted to use. As I was getting ready to read it, I thought "Goddess, forgive me for not having this memorized." In my head, pops the thought, "There is no need for forgiveness, that is a Catholic thing" and then I had a sense of laughter.

Was this:
~ My subconscious talking?
~ a sign of my insanity?
~ Or could it really have been a message from the Goddess? (this is what I am hoping!)

My background is Catholicism and even when I did pray to God, I never got any sort of verbal response. Please tell me I am not crazy!

You're not crazy :crazy: honey! It could be a message from your subconscious and from the Goddess. Some people think they are one and the same, I haven't made up my mind on that yet. You could have just come to a realization that you "heard" in your head. Listen to it but don't stress out. :)

You were just told that all of that memorization is not needed. If you work too hard at memorizing something then you lose the spirit of what it is because you are busy memorizing the thing. As long as you have the necessary elements in what you are saying you can do it a la Dr. Seuss! ;) . It should come from your heart and not your mind, all of that memorization is like brainwashing the mind about what the heart is supposed to feel. IMHO.

Now about crazy ... ya gotta join the Union or we'll send one of da boys over to your place. :eek: :eek: :eek: :crazy: :crazy: :crazy:

MM,
I often hear music and once in a while voices. I just listen and go about my business I guess one just gets use to it. I don't think people are "nuts" for hearing things certain people have gifts and the closer you get to god/goddess I believe these gifts get stronger.

Ah, no, not that song!! :( That song scares me to death. I have no idea why. Oh wait, yes I do--it's creepy. One night driving down this highway it came on the radio. I begged my grandma to turn it off but my brother wouldn't let her cause he knew how much it scared me. I am traumatized by it.

Now I have to download it off Napster. :D
